Good point, I bet it would be like 2 mm shorter :)

I'm also excited about the precise plus version for my 350. I am so tired of dripping with my precise so it will get a lot more use with the strata on it. I can't image there would be much difference in length between a 4 ml and 2 ml tank at 20mm diameter.

Hurry up machine shop!

There will also be a specific Precise/PrecisePlus version of the tank/rebuildable atomizer that will replace the top cap and screw directly onto the body of any existing or newly purchased Precise/PrecisePlus.

David so you know I have wanted a first P+16... Now they will be available soon.. A couple of questions....
First thing is I will have to stock another battery size 16340... Not the best battery but the P+16 looks right when compared to a P+18350, +1 for the P+16... I do have other Mods that use a 18350, +1 for the P+18350... They are tied but the edge goes to the P+16 because of the looks...
The next question will be the deciding factor in which one I order.... You say that the Universal Strata is the same diameter as a 20mm P+.... So I assume that the Strata will not fit the P+16 correctly???

I am pretty sure that the only strata that will fit is the universal version that will have 510 threads,(sorry if you already knew that) although it will be slightly wider than the P16 unless David decides to make a 16340 version. I would put a vote for the 18350 if you are trying to decide, they are so close in size and the 18350 batt is great compared to the 16340, at least in my experience.

David said it wasnt a ceramic wick, I wonder if the wick is Cotton ? it's a mystery I've been waiting to see :)
I cant imagine that it would be cotton since he said it would never need to be replaced. All it would take with cotton is one or two times run dry and kaput. I have been meaning to try a cotton wick, I take pretty long draws so not sure how it will do.

Hmm i never try to cotton or any "underground" wicks lol but if i whereto use it will be only on a ody or penelope to make sure it will never get dry.

How satisfying in terms of battery life would either the 16340 or 18350 be when running a dual-coil Strata? Wouldn't it just suck it right down?
I'd think the Strata would be suited for something a little more robust.
That is a good point, cuz when I was using dual coil cartos I was going through batteries like crazy but that being said, there are plenty of people out there that much prefer a smaller device with spare batts instead of a larger batt and no spares. Also, there is also the single coil configuration for when in use on smaller devices.

My experience with dual coil gennies is that they're pointless (IME), the Strata may be different as the design sounds more intricate than the others I have tried but with my Hellfires I found dual coils to take twice as long to get up to temp, ate the batteries twice as fast, used twice the juice and bizarrely no real benefit in vapour production or throat hit.

I had two 2.6ohm coils for a final 1.3ohm, compared to a U wick with a single 1.3ohm coil the U won, hands down. No problem with effectively two wicks feeding that 1.3ohm coil, never a dry hit, heated up instantly and my batteries lasted much longer. Oddly similar TH and vapour production too, Hellfire is not Strata though, I am expecting them to be completely different animals so dual may well be the way to go with them, dunno.

As far as a 16340 version of the Strata is concerned I'd be very surprised if one is made, as much as I love my P16 the 18XXX's are pretty much the standard for mods now. Weird as a few years ago the 16340 pretty much kicked off the whole "big battery mod" thing, now (with the 14500) it's the smallest battery size for a mod that's really viable. I live on 18350's these days as I like smaller mods but I can notice the difference between an 18350 and a 16340, seems a bigger difference than you'd think.. :)

Does it seem like a year since the first Strata tease to anyone else either? I can't wait to get my sweaty paws on one of these

The Strata will be available in 18350, 18500 and 18650 versions as well as a universal 510 version (so you can run it on most any mod up to 26650 size) Obviously, Smaller batteried mods won't last for long in dual coil mode, but remember, the Strata can be run in Single coil mode just as easily, so you aren't limited. I've also designed another feeder version that'll be available around the same time, it is a dedicated single coil version. So no matter your tastes, mod or battery, we'll have you covered.

Is there a working prototype? Just wondering if we opt for mesh wick in Strata, is the wicking comparable to gen-style atty?

Is the visual design still the same on the integrated mods? Knurling still an aspect?

Awesome, I can't wait! I'm thinking I will run the Strata in single coil mode. Would I be better waiting for the dedicated single coil version? Would that one be more leak resistant with a single coil?
