I saw another member post a thread on here a few days ago asking about the real joye ego and the look-a-likes and if anyone knew the difference and the vendors who sold the genuine egos. After I read that thread I got curious myself and started doing some research because I have bought egos and ego tanks and wanted to make darn sure all my products were the genuine article. Glad to say all the products I bought are great and are the real mccoy. So if you want to buy from a vendor who is selling the genuine article then buy from Freedomsmoke USA, Good Prophets, Cignot, and Totally Wicked. Now don't get me wrong I am sure there are plenty more good and reliable dealers out there these are just the vendors that I have purchased from. Happy vaping:)

Hello There!
I just wanted to tell you that I have some "real" e-go batteries are some generics and I have been using both for about 2-3 months now, and they all work exactly the same -- except I hate the buttons on the "real" ones!
Just thought I'd let you know -- in my experience, they all work the same!

That's what I hear.

90 percent or more of the time they will work the same from almost everywhere. It's the rest of them where Joye Ego quality control makes a difference. Most of the time they will work but you are talking a bit more of a risk with a knockoff.

LOL! I was about to comment that the first cars were Fords but that doesn't mean we all think Fords are still the best... but I thought I'd better look it up first:

quote: "Karl Benz, the German mechanical engineer who designed and in 1885 built the world's first practical automobile, and Henry Ford, who improved the assembly line for automobile manufacturing and invented a car transmission mechanism, and others."

Is this by any chance a reference to the thread I started a few days ago titled "Anyone know anything about counterfeit Joye products"?

In either case, thanks for the information. It's useful to get information from other members on the forum who have purchased and received products from specific vendors. I'll have a look at those sites you've purchased from.

So lemme get this straight...

You want to make sure that your PV comes from one Chinese company as opposed to some other Chinese company that is most likely literally across the street?

Sometimes. For instance some Rivas have a true 3.7 working voltage and others modulated and run at 3.2. If you are looking for a constant voltage like the Ego you don't want to get the one made by the factory across the street who makes the 3.7. I don't know if the Joye Ego is the best. I am pretty sure it's not the worst. So for a beginner I would still recommend the Joye Ego rather than the one from the factory across the street. The rest of you know enough to figure it out for yourselves.
