I know billherbst probably does not care, but since this is the "Roundup"...BWB RY4 (and E-Joker) are back on the menu right now. Who knows how long?! Already got mine!

Correct on both counts. While not critical to me personally, this thread is a great place to post that info. Thanks!

So I did get the Zombie juice in and its ok, The caramel and vanilla taste good but the tobacco part which was over powering was the let down, now the X2 RY4 was much better it was more caramel and vanilla and left a nice creamy taste in your mouth..... but thats cheating :p

passerbyeus,

If you stole the juice from the vendor, that would be "cheating." All you did was to your cover your bases and play it safe, which proved to be a good strategy. You're not a cheater, you're careful and thorough.

Well I have been hearing so much about the Ecblend RY4 which I have tried and did not like it at all due to the tobacco, but everyone is saying get double caramel and double vanilla ....so to me that is cheating , but if they would have made it that way in the first place I would not have not known any difference and that would have been fine, so I cant justify candy coating and spending money on something that I know I never liked in the first place :D just because it has a pretty face now.....

...and to me as well! :) I always try RY4's as they are, no extra flavor, to see how the producer suggests it...

Me too! On those rare occasions these days when I purchase an RY4 to review, I always order "regular" flavor. I want to experience the RY4 as the juice's creator formulated it, rather than hopped up on extra flavor steroids.

*I* liked your lists ;) here's a better link Ry4 - Mr Vape Inc.

Oh, I do miss Chi-town. Found this thread whilst shopping for RY4 and on the strength of the recommendations, ordered 120 cc's of Mr. Vape RY4.

They do custom blending and the juice defaults to a 50/50 PG/VG mix; I was shy of that much VG (never ordered VG based in 4 years of vaping) so I toned it down to 70/30.

Should get here today.... The wife and I use RY4 pretty much exclusively all this time, so if it's a hit, I'll be really happy ;-)

Cheers

After reading this a while ago. I ordered 3 10ml bottles of KVS RY4 50/50 12mg.
Tried it as soon as it got here & it was horrid. So terrible. I emailed them asking if it was a bad batch or something & they said to let it steep.
now it's been "steeping" for a couple months & it still has the same smell & taste as it did the day it arrived. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea.

on another note, 'Ginger's RY4' from the Vapor Room is unbelievable.
Best RY4 I've ever had out of many different blends.
It's 18mg 30pg/70vg & added one flavour shot.
instant satisfaction while vaping this... I just wish I had ordered 2 bottles. I have a feeling I'll be running out while on tour.

Bill, I'm looking for your (lengthy) review on NLV's Renegade.!

As I recall, the only review is in Post #1 of the thread that has mini-reviews of the 20-or-so initial juices on the Big List. And that was Gene's first version of Renegade RY4. It's been through at least one and maybe more revisions since then. As I recall, the first revision was a minor tweak, made very early on. That is, unless brain damage is playing havoc with my memory.

But all that may be moot. From the Renegade page of nlv's site comes this declaration (presumably from Gene himself):

"It [Renegade] is now no longer considered a RY-4 'variant' by NLV, primarily because it does not incorporate any nutty flavor
and the caramel and vanilla flavors are very mild. A lot of our NLV veteran customers have given us the thumbs up
for letting Renegade be Renegade, severing it's ties to the RY-4 family."

So, Renegade RY4 is now just Renegade. I have say, however, that for me, even without RY4 in its name, Renegade is still a better RY4 than many juices that call themselves RY4s.

I have two Renegade-loaded cartos that I just vaped a moment ago: one carto contains the original juice from my initial 10ml bottle (of which I still have 4mls left), the other was filled many months later from my second of three 30ml bottles (Gene kept including them as freebies in my orders, LOL) that are both labeled "Richer Formula" by me. The older carto is distinctly nutty. The newer one is not nutty at all (as Gene stated) and contains other flavor accents that are almost fruity, although that may be the spice. Make of that what you will. I mean, the first carto is now a year old and may have slightly degraded or muted flavor, but it's definitely more RY4-like than its younger sibling. Even the colors are different. The liquid in the original 10ml bottle is a light-golden color, while the juice in all three later 30ml bottles is that characteristic NLV deep orange.

Kat, whichever Renegade you have, would you consider reviewing it for us here on the thread? That'd be great.

Wow bill is that a recent change? I got another order last month and it still says renegade ry4....but my first bottles I ever got just said renegade...

All I know is what I read in the papers. Or the nlv web site.

My older two 30ml bottles are both labeled "Renegade RY4." The newest one, about six weeks old (thanks, Gene!) is labeled just "Renegade."

I have some Renegade labeled March 2012 that doesn't say RY4. I have noticed that if I let it get a little burnt, it does have that classic RY4 taste. But if it's burnt, it quickly gets yukky to the point of me tossing the carto and getting a fresh one. In fact I need to do that today. Mmmmmm, fresh Renegade!
