Jim Bob,

Yes! Both TPA flavorings are really quite tasty, and playing with the mixes is definitely fun! Good luck in your mad scientist lab, and by all means please share your results with us---good, bad, or weird.

Well, OK :toast:

I like the Asian well enough just a day later I filled a 5ML tank with it!

Loving organic VR4.. Good stuff. I wonder if I'll get tired of it like some. I smoke in CE3s at 3.7 or less, which might mute the flavor somewhat. But to me, this is a good spot.

I have a bottle of Janty RY4 classic (PG), but it's almost clear. Is this normal? Most RY4s have at least been more straw colored.

Usually I smoke Tribeca. I don't have issues with the Halo base as I do with their other flavors (although I've gotten used to that too). I also think it vapes better at 18mg or less. 24 seems to drown it out (to me) and creates too much of that nicotine crackle/peppery taste. Also, I kind of wonder if they even use the same base. The website says it has a "flavor all it's own". To me it's a good RY4.

Yes, clear RY4 liquids are unusual. My bottle of Janty Elixir is light-golden (or, as you say, "straw-colored).

"A flavor all its own?" Marketing hype. Tribeca is definitely an RY4.

Oh, I mean.. I read that as a "flavor all it's own" relative to their other juices. Personally, I don't get the same floral chemically weirdness from Tribeca as I do from their other juices. So I wonder if they used a different base for their RY4.

Anyways, that's kind of weird on my Janty. Maybe it's super fresh and needs to steep.. but that doesn't really add up. It looks more like a 555. I'm not getting much taste out of it either, but maybe my palate is somewhat shot. /shrug I'll set it aside for now.

Oh, I misunderstood. That was you calling Tribeca a flavor of its own, compared to other Halo juices. Obviously, some people love Halo's signature "purity" base. I taste that undertone as medicinal disinfectant, so much so that I actually sold my bottles of Torque and Freedom. Tribeca seems to have less of it, but still enough that I didn't like it initially. After steeping for eight months, that bug spray undertone diminished enough that now I like Tribeca quite a bit. Now I wish I had more than what's left of the 3ml sample bottle I was sent by another reader of this thread. LOL.

Ah, your Janty is fresh. It's likely OK, then. As you may already know, some juices change color after interacting with nicotine. Others darken with steeping, whether or not their flavors change (meld, mature, bloom, whatever). Some BWB juices are well-known to darken considerably over time. So, yes, some hibernation/incubation/resting/steeping will probably change your Janty Classic from clear to golden.

I have one bottle of Tribeca I'm letting sit, but the rest I vape. I know it gets better with age though. The reason why I even like it is because the first time I had it, it was in a sample kit.. and I think those might've been sitting for awhile. It had a nice buttery flavor to it.. But since then, every bottle hasn't quite lived up. Yet I still order it. If I could find an RY4 more like that out of the box, I'd go for that instead.

Well, I just tried to order five 3ml sample bottles of tobacco flavors from MountOlympusVapors. I registered an account and filled the cart, but every time I reached the "Proceed to payment page" of the checkout process and clicked on that button, the site took me right back to the first page of checkout. Grrrr. I even tried emptying my cart, leaving the site, coming back, doing it all over---same damned glitch.

Oh well, I just saved 14 bucks, and MountOlympus lost an order.

I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say, but I want to affirm that Mount Olympus has---like so many vendors---the epitome of great Customer Service, willing to extend themselves very generously and bend over backwards to make sure their customers are well-served.

ogredog,

I'm inclined to think that the glitch with checking out on Mount Olympus is coming from my end somehow, and that their site is fine. Not that I'm a computer idiot or anything---I'm on my 19th Mac since 1985, so I know my way around; both my Macbook and my iMac are kept "clean" and well-behaved---but Mount Olympus has had no trouble with any orders except mine, and that's pretty much a dead giveaway.

Thanks for the offer to send me some. I won't need it this time, since I've already arranged to call tomorrow and place the order by phone.

ogredog and billherbst,

I was thinking about picking up some Mt O RY4, did you guys add sweetener or add extra flavor? Also billherbst, I only run macs as well since 1987. What browser are you using? I use Safari so I'll let you know if I run into any problems while checking out.

UPDATE: No problems encountered while placing order.

My Janty is a normal yellow now. False alarm. Smells more like RY4 now. I think I'll let it sit for another week or so though.

..

I'm curious if there are more opinions on V4L RY4 (especially in comparison to Bloog/Volt). Is it like them or not? I'd like to get to bottom of who manufactures Bloog RY4 for that matter. I looked back in this thread and only found a suprisingly few posts.
