What DIY flavor comes closest to SmokelessImage's RY4, if any, in your opinion?

Hangsen Essence RY4 and FlavourArt Legend RY4 flavorings will be the closest to SI Volt RY4. How close? Well, not a perfect match, by any means, but all three are firmly within the boundaries of Classic RY4 recipes/flavor profiles. In my opinion, none of the many other all-in-one RY4 flavorings will be even in the ball park, since they're all Custom RY4s.TPA/TFA RY4 Asian is supposed to be a Classic Chinese RY4 profile, at least technically, but I don't find it nearly as Classic (nor as good) as Hangsen and FA.

Thanks for that. Is the FA RY4 listed at ECigExpress the same as the FA Legend RY4 you mention? The listing makes no mention of "legend" so I just want to be sure it is the same as what you are talking about.

Got some Hangsen RY4 from the feedback in this thread, love it! Thanks!

Would you mind letting me know where you got it from? I ordered a bottle, but the shop I ordered from sent me the wrong one... because they decided to just not answer my multiple inquiries about getting what I actually ordered, I will not order from them again (can't see a reason to give money to a company that doesn't provide good customer service). I've found it on some of the China based shops, but only one US shop, which I'd prefer (to avoid the long shipping times).

thanks!

Found 10 ruyan at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

this is where I get mine. It isn't labeled as ry4 (on the bottle), but it is very much one.

Yes. FA makes only one all-in-one RY4 flavoring. Legend or not, that's the stuff.

Yes, FastTech has quickly become the 800-lb. Chinese Gorilla of vaping supplies. I always have about five orders from FastTech on the way to me. As it happens, I got my 50ml bottle of Hangsen RY4 at VaporBreak, another Chinese site. $4.50 plus $4.27 shipping. TopVapors has it too, with free shipping, for about the same end price per ml.

U.S. vendors include Madvapes, ValueVapor, and CaterpillarVapes, but you'll pay more to get it faster.

Can someone please tell me who has RY4 or DRY4 that is comparison to Mt. Bakers RY4. I have TFA RY4 and DRY4 and there isn't the slightest resemblance.

No one. You like MtBaker RY4 but want to make it yourself? Buy MtBaker's proprietary RY4 flavoring directly from MtBaker---$2.99 for 15mls (plus shipping). All MtBaker's flavorings are from FlavorWest, but MtB's RY4 is their own mix of FW flavorings---you can't buy it from FlavorWest, only MtBaker.

By the way, DRY4 is not a sub-category of RY4. It refers only to TPA/TFA RY4 Double flavoring. That's just ECF posters using a Tweeter-like shorthand to avoid typing the entire title.

I'm not sure I understand anything you have said

A similar RY4 of Mt. Baker RY4 doesn't exist, if you want Mt. Baker RY4, Mt. Baker is the only place to buy it. If you would like to mix your own, Mt. Baker offers that RY4 extract.

That was Bill's reply in a nutshell, I hope this helped.

I spent about a year and a half not liking BWB RY4. Started out loving it, then fell out of love with it and remained separated for 18 months with less-than-wonderful feelings, then gingerly tried it again about two months ago and discovered, to my surprise, renewed appreciation and enjoyment.

I agree with your feelings about both Casablanca and Applewood. I liked Casablanca some early on, but it didn't hold up for me, and I've never liked it since. Applewood is nice, although I don't find myself vaping it much, so it must not be that good to me. I still have most of my second 15ml bottles of both, now 2 1/2 and 2 years old, respectively. Of the 12 BWB tobaccos I've purchased, I like only about a third of them.

Ahlusion JG Blend is (to me) a tasty and pleasing tobacco-coffee vape, but I've got at least three other tobacco-with-coffee or coffee-with-tobacco juices that I like just as well, including one made from my own home-brewed NET and NEC (naturally-extracted coffee). Assuming good tobacco and good coffee flavorings to begin with, the tobacco-coffee combination is hard to mess up.

I still have a small bottle of BWB RY4 and I have always love this juice although I agree it has more of a tobacco flavor for me. Would love if they still made it so I only bring it out on occasions. I also still have some of the original Janty which I also cherish on occasions.

andel,

Yes, for some of us, being a long-term vaper comes to bear a certain resemblance to wine connoisseurs who keep special vintages in their wine cellars to sample only sparingly and on special occasions. The two juices you mentioned---BWB RY4 and the original 2007 Janty RY4---are prime examples. I'd imagine that someone still has bottles of the four primordial juices made and marketed by the Ruyan Company in 2005---Ruyan 1, 2, 3, and 4---stashed away in a freezer smewhere.

With the mention of them, I had to bring them out last nite and take a few puffs. Still after all this time, amazing. And I've have these juices for a few years, still taste good to me. I kept them is a dark/cool place and they have with withstood the time.

I've just opened my last 30ml bottles of BWB RY4 and Ejoker. The Ry4 is great at about a year and a half old now. Seems to me it lost some of the spicyness and is even more tobacco oriented in flavor now, it's great at any age after an initial steep. It'll be a bummer when it's gone, hopefully Don comes up with a great replacement sometime. I would'nt mind a taste of the original 2007 RY4 either, never had any.

I totally agree, I thought at one time Don was going to come up with his own version of the RY4 when the original first was discontinued but it hasn't come about. I will miss it when its gone. It was one of my favorite capes.
