DIY Germanflav RY4 Blend

The 10ml RY4 flavoring I purchased was $5.00, kind of steep price but if it was good the $11.00 I paid for it with the shipping was a chance I just had to take for a RY4 ..anyways I got lucky that its good, not to bad at all and really the best RY4 flavoring I have had. It has that burnt sugar, coffee, marshmallow smell to it straight from the bottle. A very nice classic RY4 from Germany which you think it came from China its so classy, not to sharp but more sweet with a touch of sour. I will say though its nothing new as wow I have never had this before because I have had this similar taste in my RY4 adventures, but the good part of it is I can now make it myself at home :D. There would be no need to got out and purchase a double RY4 with this stuff on hand. The % on this DIY is 4% and I mixed about 8% and it was way to much so yup the 4% would be perfect which is really nice so I got my 11 bucks worth for a year supply of a great dessert RY4. This is the best DIY RY4 I have ever had and I am picky when it comes to my RY4s :vapor: so I would be pleased to drop this in Bills list with an A (concentrate – classic) and its also at the top of my DIY RY4 list.

Passer,

Nice to learn that we have another good DIY RY4. I will add it to the All-in-one RY4 flavorings page of The Big List.

Here's a link for those who wish to purchase a bottle for DIY:

Funny that you should mention Raf-a-licious.

I still have about 20ml of Raf, but---like so many of my collection of RY4s---it's high nicotine, Back when Raf was still available, I had two bottles, one with 24mg nic and one with about half as much at 18 mg. I combined them into a single bottle of 22mg.

When I started The Really Big RY4 Roundup thread in June 2011, I vaped 24mg juices, and continued doing so through 2012. As a result, many of my almost 200 bottles of RY4s are 24mg nic---88 of them, to be exact. I'm not sure that my personal collection is the World's Largest Stash of Retail RY4s, but I'll bet it's close. The problem is that I started vaping lower nic juices at the end of 2012, dropping to 18mg, then 15mg, then 12mg. I didn't do this because I thought I "should"---I was never unhappy about vaping 24mg nic. It's just that over time, I found myself needing and wanting less nicotine. Now, nearing the end of 2014, I'm moving down again, to 9mg and 6mg juices. That's easy enough, since I now DIY almost everything, but it means that I can't vape any of those 88 RY4s that are 24mg nic. Believe me, I've tried, and it just isn't possible for me. First I get dizzy, and if I keep vaping I get nauseous from the slam of more nicotine than my system is now acclimated to.

A bunch of these 88 high-nic RY4s are particular favorites of mine, including Butterfly's RY4, CrystalEliquid RY4 Double Tobacco, Indigo Classic, VaporTalk Dulcis, AVE Raf-a-licious, ElixirLiquid RY4, Hangsen Retail RY4, ITCVapes Silver RY4, MrVape RY4, RWVapor RY4, and three of my numerous Janty RY4s---Classic, Elixir, and RY4X. Many of these juices are now very "mature"---often more than two years old. Happily, nearly all are still good. Unhappily, I can't vape them. What to do?

One solution---not very elegant, I admit---is Frankenjuicing. Last night, I mixed up a zero-nic 10ml bottle of DIY FlavourArt RY4 with a bit of FlavourArtUK Nutzilla, and added that to my 20ml of Raf-a-licious. The resulting 30ml of ersatz Raf is only 15mg nic, and, while modifying a rare, historic, and unavailable RY4 in this way may have been a sacrilege, the juice is still very tasty and similar enough to pristine Raf-a-licious. Most important, I can handle vaping it.

Frankenjuicing won't work for all my doomed 24mg favorite RY4s, but it might rescue some of them for me.

My other solution is to give away most of my 88 bottles of 24mg RY4 by sending them to a vaper who loves RY4s, vapes 24mg nic, and reads this thread. Surely there's someone who might qualify and wouldn't mind paying the modest one-time cost of shipping a large Priority Mail box to receive the biggest care package of retail RY4s ever assembled---all told, more than one liter of juice that will include some of best RY4s ever made. PM me if you're interested, and we'll see what we can work out.

Wow, what an opportunity! Unfortunately I have experienced the same lowering of the nic. My first bottle of juice 2 years ago was 18mg. I was only smoking about 1/2 PAD or less. Immediately went to 12mg. Shortly after lowered to 6 and that is where I mostly remain. Some of my DIY is less and I still am satisfied. Someone is going to get quite a prize!

I'm in the same boat with billherbst and dlnire. I've got some good juices and hope I can find good ways to Frankenjuice them without losing too much of their appealing characteristics. While I'm currently vaping around 12mg/ml, I have my doubts if my nic decent will dally there long.

Zero nic versions of the same flavors/brands to cut with is not currently in the cards.

You all are so lucky to have been able to dropped you nic percentage. I've tried many times and it's never worked. I will either vape like crazy trying to make up the difference or I will end up adding some nic to the juice to bump it back up to 24mg. It might sound silly but what's the secret to your success? When I've tried in the past giving it up to 2 weeks at the lower nic but my mind and body can't seem to make the adjustment so I go back to 24mg and I'm as happy as a pig in poo. Maybe it's just not my time yet.

That would be my guess.

I think many of us who have lowered our nic levels have done so in response to some side effect such as light-headedness.

Yes, I have cut back a couple of times. My recent cut from 18mg to 12mg didn't seem to work. I'm feeling around in the 6 to 9mg level.

I DO miss the throat hit to a degree. That has always been a factor for me. I suppose I've made up for it to some extent by upping power and perhaps longer draws and can seem to find fair satisfaction.

I suspect if you aren't finding something you don't like in your vaping, you might as well stay happy at 24mg.

I have been vaping Dekang RY4 this stuff is good, perfect throat hit...

It has changed over the years but I too still like Dekang RY4. Its harder to find these days though; at least the 50mls which are a better deal. I know RY4 is supposed to be caramel-based but I don't like the sweeter ones. Used to order 50s direct ten for like $70 shipped but last time they sent me Hangsen...too damn sweet.

Recently tried Midas RY4 got one sale...did not like at all. Some weird flavor, maybe nut.

Well I have been able to a bit since moving to rebuildables (finally). They perform that much better.

Maybe RDA/RBA will help. I truly never thought about them being a piece of the lowering my NIC puzzle but you have a point. I just started tinkering with them about 2 weeks ago but I've kind of be shy using mine because of all of the juice it consumes. Maybe you can help me out with this question. Do you HAVE TO use high VG liquids with RDAs/RBAs or is that just a main factor if you want to blow big clouds of vapor? I vape 70/30 or 50/50 juices with PG being the larger percentage and it seems like my RDA drinks juice like it's going out of style.

PG has a lower boiling point than VG. In low power devices and for beginners operating at lower voltage/wattage PG helps somewhat in vapor generation. Basically more vapor, more flavor. It's got to vaporize for you to taste it. And perhaps that's where the urban legend that PG somehow is the carrier for flavor.

With more advanced PV's that's unnecessary and with an advanced proper electrical coil wound in seconds such as the following tensioned micro coil, you get all the efficiency you need for even the most complex juices and then some…

But PR a word of caution…more vape, more juice bro!

:D

Happy Vaping.

Went ahead and gave this one a try:

50% off all eliquid at Vapor talk today but they hammer you with a $6 shipping charge on a 30ml bottle. Oh well, still got a good discount to try one of Bill's top juices.

Thank you so much for posting this. I went ahead and ordered a 10 ml bottle of the Dulcis and the crumble cream after seeing your post. My credit card got charged that day but 3 days later I had still not received a confirmation e-mail. I couldn't log back into the account I had created to see about the order. I ended up sending them an e-mail and long story short, someone named Chris from VaporTalk ended up calling me because my order had never gotten to their store. He ended up throwing in their two sample packs and an Evod 2 clearomizer free of charge.

I had never even heard of VaporTalk before. So....shout out to VaporTalk for excellent customer service and to you for sharing this here.
