...we have found BWB RY4 as a flavor that we adore!!!! I am hoping you can point me to a close replacement.

A poster asked the same question on the thread just yesterday. Here is a reprise of my response:

Love it or not, BWB RY4 is/was unique. There is nothing like it available in the marketplace, nor is there likely to be anytime in the future. (The same is true of certain other custom RY4s.) Many, many great RY4s exist, but none of them bears the slightest resemblance to BWB RY4.

Now, like so many vapers, you'll get the "opportunity" to spend oodles of time and money searching for an RY4 you like as much as BWB. LOL.

Are you going to coerce me to go shopping again, Bill? ;)

Kat,

Coerce? Gee, coerce is such an ugly word, like blackmail or corporate capitalism.

No force intended or needed. Just a pre-hypnotic suggestion. Now, stare at the swinging pendulum and repeat after me: "I must buy some Heavenly tobacco RY4, I must buy some Heavenly Tobacco RY4, I must buy some Heavenly Tobacco RY4..."

This is so strange. I suddenly feel like buying some Heavenly Tobacco RY4!

Go figure...

I have used this thread to find my way to the perfect ejuice.
I'm still searching.

I started my quest with dekang ry4, I do not think it was the original holy grail but I certainly enjoyed it well enough to switch from analogs because I enjoyed the flavor well enough.

I purchased Ikenvape way back in the beginning and found it too strong in flavor.

For a while I ventured into a marshmallow phase with. MsT's.

I moved to AVE's GJ.....and for a long while I would mix ALL of the above ejuice TOGETHER as one alone just isn't "it".
(Actually, I still do this).

I "lucked out" and got one bottle of BWB ry4, didn't see the hype, so it's been steeping.
It's been steeping several months now, I barely taste a thing!!!!

AVE's Raf is pretty good, as is Want 2 Vape Ry4.

Moondrops Ry42 has the exact hint of what I want, but a little too strong.

DH, who used to enjoy dekangs ry4 and has sampled most of my acquisitions announced he found all ry4's to be bitter.
In a way he's right, some of them are.

I have found the last few months I completely enjoy the flavor of the Ikanvape I purchased quite a while back.

I find the only way I satisfy my flavor crave is by mixing up all of the flavors I somewhat enjoy.....

Separately I either enjoy them but the flavor is too potent

OR

Flavor sucks on it's own, but when mixed with the above I can use it up.

I would ask if I'm crazy, but I know the answer already.

DH vapes one thing, and one thing alone, Bobas.
He is lucky to find his nirvana.

I'm still searchin'. :vapor:

I would suggest you try Janty's either Classic or Elixir RY4. They do not have that overpowering flavor of one flavor or another of many RY4's. They do a good job of "blending" the flavors. I actually used the "orginial" RY4 and this is the closes I have found to the orginial.

I did.

Unfortunately at that time they only had it in 11mg, so I ordered it in both the vg and the pg.....even though I usually use 18 mg I was more interested in the flavor than nic content. It also came in a bottle with the weird small needle'ish thin long flimsy dropper you must be careful with. The flavor was just alright, nothing to write home about.I have since given it to my mother who does use 11mg.

At that time (6mos ago?) janty had a few prefilled ry4 carts left of what was believed to be the last of their original ry4....I bought 3 boxes or so (again, more interested in holy grail flavor as these are 24mg and carts.....I use 18mg cartomizers) Again, nothing spectacular, but it was pleasant, just not my nirvana.

Hello again fellow RY4 fanboys and fangirls! It's been ages i know, real life does that sometimes I'm afraid!

Still theres time to have a quick update on forthcoming reviews from myself and some are quite interesting indeed!

Many strange and wonderful variants have passed my PV of late and it'll be a shame not to share them with you.

So expect rundowns, looks at and general musings over: Health E-Vapes: RY4, a tobacco heavy homemade mix which reminds me of paradise vapes RY4 a lot, but actually less chemically, BN-4 a strange but rather good banana RY4 mix, MY4 a menthol infused tobacco and RY4 variant which kind of works and some new juices from UK vapers based: Vapist vapers: RY4 and their signature Doctor-Y4 mix.

In non-review related news i also picked up 100mls of Liberty Flights RY4 for the rather bargintastic price of £24 when using the ECR69 code on the UK site...That, (even for merely average RY4 like LF does) is a steal. Also the banana cake juice vapist vapers does seems to be getting some attention over on UK vapers forum, so I've got some of that also, along with plain old Janty vanilla, because i felt it high time to try something other than Janty's wonderful RY4 too!

Lots happening! Stay tuned!

I know the Classic doesn't come in VG so you must have gotten the Elixir or Vitalia lines. The Vitalia isn't anything like the original or the other two and not one that I liked. Classic is the best of the three. I've been getting mine from their Europe site that even with the cost of shipping is less expensive than the US site.

What you describe is the Elixir bottle.

At that time (6mos ago?) janty had a few prefilled ry4 carts left of what was believed to be the last of their original ry4.

Yes, that is the classic RY4.

So I got RY4 in from Heathers Heavenly Vapes....first off I am disappointed to say I do not like it...the reason is ....it has that base taste that I cant stand, the kind like when you get a hold of a bad bottle of RY4 from Dekang, the thing to compair it to is Renegade from NitLite not sure if its the tobacco used in these juices or the caramel, on a good note it is caramel rich with undertones of vanilla and nut that are nice....also it almost has a menthol affect which I really dont care for....someone else may really enjoy this one and I am sure steeping would make a difference so I think Ill keep it around just to see what comes of it.

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd add a bit of info to the pile. :) Awhile back I tried three RY4s, and made an interesting discovery. I'll hold that bit for last. First, I tried "My4 (New Edition)" from ecigexpress, and dear Lord, it's horrendously bad. I kid you not when I describe it as tasting like wet, mildewed socks. Handed the bottle off to a friend and he also gagged on it. Woof. Secondly, tried the RY4 from VapeBIG. Not as bad as the My4, but still, not even close to anything "good." Really flavorless.

But, the surprise was AltCig's RY4. I didn't care much for it at first, and set it aside. Later on I went back to it simply because I was out of RY4 and a bit desperate. Sampled the others again, too, but still choked on them. However, the AltCig surprised the heck out of me. A little steeping on this puppy goes a long way. What tasted common and bland on first opening the bottle suddenly tasted rich and good. There's a weird almost peanut oil flavor that somehow pulls all the other flavors together and makes them work (not to be confused by the dreaded "nutty flavor" we've spoken of before --not the same thing at all). You get the tobacco flavor, the dominant caramel, and a traditional vanilla subtly underlying it, and the whole shebang "wrapped," for lack of a better term, in the inexplicably functional and satisfying peanut oil-like flavor. I've never tasted anything like it before in an RY4, but darned if it doesn't work. It's not the best RY4 around, nor is it perfect, but if you like the traditional or "classic" flavor, I think you'll like AltCig's version, if you can be patient and let it steep. (14 days are recommended, but I resampled it in under a week and it had blossomed.)

This also has me really wondering what others I may have tried and disliked in the past that might actually have been good if given time to steep. Not sure I wanna think about that. lol

Cthulhu,

I love reading other people's opinions/reviews of RY4s on this thread, especially when they write more than just "I liked it" or "I hated it." I had to go back and re-read my own review of AltCig RY4 (post #1221) to recall what I'd written, then I re-sampled it from the 50-carto RY4 ammo-box stash I keep on my desk. Man---you nailed it! The "wrap-around" flavor I couldn't define in my review suddenly became obvious to me after you identified it as peanut oil. I don't know if you're a great flavor detective or if I'm a lousy one (both might be true, LOL), but now that I know what it is, that peanut taste is clear as a bell. If we could marry your review to mine, we might get some pretty smart baby reviews!

I also went back and re-read my review of ecigexpress My 4, (post #1222) which was somewhat more diplomatic than your rather blunt reaction. Then I went to vape it again, but discovered that it's one of the 25 RY4s in my juice cabinet that I don't keep carto loaded on my desk. Which is fairly revealing concerning how I must feel about it.

I haven't tried VapeBIG RY4. Just as well, apparently.

sandy,

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. Boodle is an extremely talented and highly skilled juicemistress. I own and vape lots of AltCig juices.

Speaking of juicemistresses, Heather's Heavenly Vapes is having a today-only 25% off sale on Heather's custom-made juices. If anyone wants to see if passerbyeus is savvy or not in dismissing Heavenly Tobacco (RY4) as sub-par, today is the day to order some and save 25%. I tried to bust out of my no-juice-buying prison to buy a bottle, but my "accountant" self caught me in the act and emptied my cart before I could check out. LOL. Anyway, use the coupon code 25OFFJUICE at checkout to save some coin.
