OK I know someone here (hangdude?) is a huge fan of Mountain Oak CountRY4. I just tasted this again along with its kissing cousin MOV Gold, in an effort to figure out what that savoury, spicy, funky undertone that makes this brand's tobaccos unique.

I'm just going to throw this out there: I think it's cumin.

What do you all think?

Cumin? Really? I don't think so (mainly because I can't stand cumin).

The "off" flavor that makes their Tennessee line of tobaccos taste so unique, is the small amount of citric acid they use as a preservative. I notice it most in the Tennessee Gold (honey tobacco). The Gold tastes like honey and lemon (read: cough drops). Not everyone tastes the hint of citrus. There is very little of it in there.

UH gee, Bill, coughwhich onecough are you talking about?

sandy,

All of them. There must be about a thousand of those threads on ECF at this point, taking up huge amounts of bandwidth and making the people who participate very happy.

Look, dear, if I bend over any further to be fair-minded, non-judgmental, and diplomatic, I'll turn into a circus sideshow freak. LOL. "Step inside the tent to see the Rubber Man! Watch as he twists himself into a pretzel---backwards! Only one thin dime, one-tenth of a dollar---Get your ticket now!"

I can truly say it is a "Mystery" what Moutain Oak Vapors puts in their tobacco lines. Some days I really like it a lot and will vape the CountRY4 for hours. Other days, my boge carto filled CountRY4 stays in its carrying pouch. Same with the QuicNic RY4. I guess these unique complex blends find their way up and down in my vaping cycles, BWB's RY4 is always part of my daily vapes - albeit shorter each day (because I only have about 5 mls left and am trying to stretch it). Another RY4 that I am growing more fond of each day now is Apollo. More steeping time = better flavor on this one, for me anyway.

I am looking forward to the next great "new" RY4. Maybe it will be Ahlusion, maybe Don's re-formulated RY4. Another mystery indeed. But isn't this fun?

Right now I have CountRY4 in a big EGO DCC on the Twist. I usually keep the voltage between 3.8 and 4.3.

I don't know but people chime in please if I'm crazy but long bottom leaf is the only epipemods juice I have, and it shares a similar tobacco with Movs tobacco that I once found so unique. Anyone agree/disagree? Similar, not exact....

Sorry, dog, I haven't tried Long Bottom Leaf. I've heard of it and wondered about it, but never vaped any.

I would like to know what MOV uses to get their signature tobacco base flavors, though. I don't personally feel that they're the best ever or anything like that, but they are distinctively different, as are MOV juices in general.

...or maybe tomorrow, since I just arrived home and what should be awaiting me but a big parcel of NiteLiteVapors goodies from our very own super-amazing Sandybeach! I think I will be occupied for a while :):):)

1ml - 100mg 100% VG
1ml - TPA flavour
4ml - 100% PG
4ml - 100% VG

Whoa! That recipe goes up to ten per cent of flavouring in the mix. I also have set up all 3 TPA RY4's and they are already quite distinct at around 3-4%. Tastes differ, of course, but I feel this may be "overspiced" a bit? Let's compare notes when yours have steeped, mine are about a week old now.

Oh, and there is yet another contender for an RY4 flavouring just come out in Inawera's. I have already posted a first review here, but it looks like this seriously needs some steeping.
I'll let you know if this manages to turn into a real revelation (*thinknot*)

All the best,

Ozy
