Well Totally Wicked RY4 or V4L Jammin are both almost identical but yet stand on their own in ways. Both are a real nice classic RY4 vape. TW is sharper then Jammin, while Jammin is a light creamy taste. Both are mixed really good and nothing seems to overpower. I really like to mixed these two at times because it gets me in the middle road. The best way to think about these if you have tried Vapor..... RY4 is that they have the sweetness that Vapor..... RY4 is missing. I tend to lean more to liking TW better becuz it holds up flavor longer in my dual coils, but when you load up Jammin in a fresh cartos you get the experience of a true RY4. The tobacco in these are perfect for me, no odd taste, no cat pee here just a great caramel vanilla tobacco. The prices on these two are kinda out there above $20 for 30ml, but if you watch for codes and sales you can get them for around $16.00 but to be honest I would pay the $20 becuz the quality of these is what I expect in a RY4. These two vendors are over looked becuz the have been around a long time and if you think about it the older vendors know what a real RY4 should be and have proved that with these classic RY4s.

passer,

I haven't vaped two of your three top faves---Totally Wicked or V4L. Would you consider writing formal reviews? Or, if that's too much trouble, just tell us what you love about them. What makes them your Top Three?

Put in an order for the "RY4 Milkshake" from ZeusJuice. The first RY4 that I've tried that Bill has also (other than Madvapes DeKang 24mg, which might not have been the best leaping-off point).

Very interested to see how my experiences correspond for the first time since I've started to get a taste for this stuff.

Next on the juice vendors list to try (in probably a month or so when i run out of the 90mL of various juices I'm getting from Zeus this time around) is NLV. Been meaning to try them forever, though of course I'd be remiss to order from them when BH wasn't available.

midfi,

Please let us know what you think of the Zeus' Creamy RY4.

Good luck with ordering from NLV. Luckily, I have enough BH and Gold to last me for another year or more, so I don't have to run the gauntlet of stalking the NLV fan thread to know when ordering is allowed and then mailing a money order. LOL.

passer,

Nice. Those two certainly seem deserving of inclusion on The Big List.

V4L has frequent sales, so I'll watch to see if I can pick up some Jammin' for less. Too bad they don't offer less than 30ml bottles. TW sells their Patriot Range Ruyan4/RY4 in a 10ml bottle for $8, so that's do-able.

I'd ask you to send me a small sample of each, but I think you're a lower nic vaper, right? 12mg, if I recall correctly? Too low for my nicotine-addled brain, LOL.

Zeus’ RY4
specs: The 10ml bottle of Zeus’ RY4 I purchased from ZeusE-Juice contains an amber-colored transparent liquid at 24mg nic strength in 50/50 pg/vg base. Testing was done using a 2.7 ohm Boge SR carto powered by a Young-June black chrome Mini Vtube set to 4.4 volts (which is probably closer to 5.0 volts, given the PWM mis-calibration), delivering wattage somewhere between 7 and 9, depending on the true voltage (which I can’t measure). Vape intensity felt like around 8.5 watts.

Vendor’s description from product page:

“Our take on the classic RY4. We blend the perfect amount of four different tobacco flavors to being you this complex but smooth RY4 blend. Undertones of caramel and vanilla are prevelant in this vape but not so much that they are overpowering as found in some RY4 blends. Absolutely lovely the way we do it.”
Zeus’ RY4 is a custom RY4 all the way, and a decidedly odd bird to boot. Taken positively (and literally), that imagery might bring to mind a multi-colored Toucan or a tropical parrot with brilliant and amazing colors. Taken negatively, it could mean a Dodo-bird, a creature so weird that extinction would be inevitable. As I vape Zeus’ RY4 during the writing of this review, I go back and forth between the two viewpoints.

I take a toke, and my brain says, “Man, is this weird or what?” Then I take another toke, and my brain recants, “No, wait, there’s something here that’s interesting and good.” My best guess is that the culprit or hero---you pick---is the tobacco. As far as I’m concerned, there’s nothing wrong with blending four different tobaccos for a complex composite end result (juicemakers blend different tobacco varietals often), but whatever these four individual tobaccos are and however they’re blended, the end result is not only complex, but elusively odd as well. Tasty one minute, strange the next. But maybe it’s not the tobaccos. Maybe the oddness comes from the sweeter flavors, the caramel and vanilla (no nuts). Or perhaps it’s the overall mix. I just can’t tell.

All I can say for sure is that if you like really unusual RY4s, you might give Zeus’ RY4 a try. As for a grade, I’d give it 50% B and 50% D. (Guess what my composite grade will be?)

ZeusE-Juice Zeus’ RY4 grade: C

Creamy RY4
specs: The 10ml bottle of Creamy RY4 I purchased from ZeusE-Juice contains an amber-colored transparent liquid at 24mg nic strength in 50/50 pg/vg base. Testing was done using a 3.0 ohm Boge SR carto powered by a Young-June black chrome Mini Vtube set to 4.4 volts (which is probably closer to 5.0 volts, given the PWM mis-calibration), delivering wattage somewhere between 6.9 and 8.9, depending on the true voltage (which I can’t measure). Vape intensity felt about like 8 watts.

Vendor’s description from product page:

“We love this creamy take on the RY4. Mild, sweet caramel cream tobacco eliquid that is sure to please the taste buds.”
After the shock of Zeus’ RY4, the calmer experience of Creamy RY4 is something of a relief. As you sit on a park bench eating your lunch, Zeus’ RY4 is a guy wearing a tinfoil hat who rushes up and confronts you, shouting something about aliens infiltrating his brain. Creamy RY4 is Zeus’ cousin, but he wears a Fedora, sidles up to the park bench more quietly, and sits down beside you, saying “Don’t mind my weird cousin, he means well.”

Creamy RY4 is also somewhat eccentric and idiosyncratic, like its loonier relative, but the oddness is in how smooth and creamy it is, just as its name suggests. This is also a custom RY4 all the way, but it’s more like an RY4 milkshake. What a brilliant idea!

I don’t know if similar core ingredients are used in Zeus and Creamy, but the substitution of the “sweet caramel cream” makes the end result hugely different (and better, at least in my opinion). It’s still somewhat odd, but it’s a good odd. Tasty and soothing. (Do those two adjectives go together? Here they do.)

I’d be willing to bet that in a blind taste test, most people would choose Creamy RY4 over Zeus’ RY4, mainly because---where vaping is concerned---human beings tend to prefer pleasing over challenging. If you like Zeus’ RY4, I’d recommend stocking up now, for my hunch is that the current formulation might not be around too long. On the other hand, Creamy RY4 is probably here to stay.

ZeusE-Juice Creamy RY4 grade: B

Love your command of the English language. Great reviews, Bill.

Bill, I tried searching the thread but could not find it, did you ever end up trying out the RY4 From Mister-E Liquid? I have a few mL's left of a 30 mL, 18mg, 33%VG bottle that is pretty well steeped I could transfer to a smaller bottle and ship to you if you would like to try it.

Lbox,

No, I've never tried it. I'd love to review MEL RY4 and add it to The Big List. I'll PM you my address. Thanks!

passer,

All I can say is---you got close.

I went to the V4L site, put a 30ml bottle of Jammin at 24mg in my cart, and thought, "OK, 30% off $17.95 is $12.25. With $3 shipping, am I willing to spend $15.25 just to write a review? Oh sure, why not? It's for a good cause."

Imagine my shock when I got as far as shipping in the checkout process and discovered that V4L's cheapest shipping option is $6.95 for Priority Mail. No First Class shipping at all. SEVEN BUCKS??? That's $19.20 total for a bottle of juice that I'm going to vape one time and then probably never vape again (even if it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, I've already got more than 2 liters of RY4 languishing in my stash, 96% of which will likely expire unvaped from old age. Within another year or two, I'm going to have one heck of an RY4 graveyard/cemetery/archaeological dig).

Uh, no. [Delete one item from Cart. Your shopping cart is empty. Continue Shopping?]

Now, if anyone on the thread who vapes 24mg wants to go in halfsies with me and split the cost, I'm still game. Paypal me $10 with your name and address, and I'll order that 30ml bottle, divide it in two, then mail you your very own brand spanking new 15ml bottle of Jammin.

And there you discover why I eventually stopped ordering from V4L. Granted that I would typically order 3-4 bottles of whatever, it was cheaper than $18 to begin with, and still had the 30% discount. Granted that ordering juice or supplies from other places I almost always *choose* the priority mail option. The shipping just annoyed me to no end.

If I still had Paypal, I'd be more than happy to make that split with you (and the original V4L RY4 is worth sampling as well, very rich/sumptuous caramel flavor on that one, and it cuts the shipping in half), alas...

If you could find 3 other flavors you were interested in you could get free shipping. All of their other flavors that I've tried (except Beer) have been solid, just perhaps not necessarily special.

Else, I agree that the Mister E Liquid RY4 probably deserves a spot in your lineup. It's interesting, with a hint of caramel on exhale (especially while drinking coffee), and a unique sort of "smokiness" to the blend. And Mister E Liquid has plenty of other flavors (Jade Dragon, Pure Michigan, bunch of others) and accessories (tanks, batteries, etc) worth trying to offset whatever their shipping price is (I honestly don't remember off hand).

I got myself bottles of the entire House Brewed range from Good EJuice. If you follow the "Natural Tobaccos" thread you will witness my "crisis" (ahem :D) at my first taste of their Vita Bella, which is a dessert tobacco beyond compare. GJ4 is their naturally extracted RY4 (there's another in their regular line, which I did not get). This was shipped on the 13th of October and received yesterday, the 23rd. It has steeped one night, cap off. 18mg in a clear dual-coil carto, vaped at 4v on an EGO-Twist.

If I had to describe this juice in one word it would be "buttery". It doesn't taste like butter, but the tobacco is buttery smooth, the caramel blanketing it is buttery rich, and the vanilla...well it isn't buttery but it is obviously a quality extract that turns this viscous golden blend into an RY4 of dreams. It has a very very faint sweet-and-sour aftertaste on the tongue that mitigates the butteriness, so this isn't a tiresome vape. It isn't sweet either...this is way down on the sweetness scale of most of my RY4s.

I never formally reviewed Vaperite's VR4 but I will say that the overall impression I got from it was "greasy". GJ4 is what VR4 would have been had it succeeded. It is not going to displace RYGAR or Heather's Heavenly from my top spots but it is a quality liquid. I will revisit it after a long steep because I'm told it changes rather a lot.

GJ4 is what God intended an RY4 to be. ;)

Note GJ4's grade on The Really Big RY4 Report Card: A.

GJ4 isn't my favorite RY4 these days, but it's consistently either in my Personal Top Ten RY4s or pounding on the door to get back in. It just missed the cut at #14 this last time The Big List was posted.

And yes, scarfy, Vita Bella is terrific. It's Bounty Hunter with cojones.

O sorry about that small forgotten detail lol Ok they will have that stuff down to like 12.00 and I have seen it for 9 also justy hold out if you can :vapor: I know the shipping is crazy dumb stupid but its beating a dead horse complaining about it to them I tried lol but when its all said and done its worth it :toast:

Also I think about how most people use higher nics then I do, lower nic has more flavor to me and takes the edge off, I may be at an advantage here lol

GJ4 just did not cut it for me, I am not big into extract tobaccos only if covered up really good, so it just was not that pleasing. I liked Vita Bella better but got tired of it at about 15ml in.

I was excited to see that V4L was only a 20 minute drive away, so I moseyed on down there. This was my second week of vaping, about a year ago. I spent a ton of money on a bunch of very mediocre juices.

They had a little room where there are pre-filled cartos that fit into 808 devices for trying out.

V4L has sales all the time because they are priced high. Live and learn. Hey, that's how I found the classifieds. Within two weeks, all my V4L juices went bye bye on the classifieds.

Bill,
I know you have split up the ejuices into several different types, but would you do one more for me? I have tried four of your top graded flavors. Mom&Pops RY4v2 and Goodejuice GJ4 are very good US style blends. Or call them deeper, richer, darker, whatever.
Apollo RY4 and Halo Tribeca lean more Chinese style (or thinner, brighter, squeakier...).

Could you seperate your top flavors into those two different camps? I have been wanting to try some of your favorites, but want to know what to expect.

Hey Bill, someone just PMed me this post. Leave it to you to say what I only have said to two people: my friend and ECF member Kemosabe, and Nick, the owner of GoodeJuice. I cannot stop smiling at that line, "And yes, scarfy, Vita Bella is terrific. It's Bounty Hunter with cojones." I have said something very similar ;) to Nick and he is aware of resemblance, but I believe he doesn't even know what BH tastes like -- well, aside from it being Vita Bella with the voice of a castrato.
