Yes, peach aldehyde in Janty RY4s has been discussed on the thread earlier. Do a thread search. You'll find it.

Peach aldehyde is not generally used as a "peach" flavoring, at least I know of no such uses. Look at the description in the Perfumer's Apprentice page that Cool_Breeze linked:

"Fatty, coconut, creamy, vanilla, nutty, macadamia and peach." Peach is the last quality listed. On top of that, peach aldehyde is not technically a flavoring component at all---it's a cyclic ester or lactone, which is basically just an alcohol normally used in perfumes. Note also that it's listed on the Janty label under the heading "Base Ingredients," along with PG and vanillan, and the aldehyde is only 1%. So, this ingredient is pretty much "peach-in-name-only."

Fruit flavorings aren't used in Classic RY4s, but anything goes in Custom RY4s. I've seen a couple of RY4s that were described by the vendor as "fruity," but I didn't buy them, so they haven't been reviewed and aren't on The Big RY4 List.

A couple of people who received a sample bottle of my Skydancer NET-based RY4 have noted that they taste apricot, but that's their brains trying to define an unintentional by-product of the Nature's Flavors Caramel and Vanilla interacting with the citrus from a tiny bit of Lorann Tart & Sour. This is not to suggest that they're wrong---I mean, they taste what they taste---but there is no "apricot" in any version of Skydancer RY4.

So I was just thinking about all the RY4s I have tried escpeically ones I do not like , there as been some pretty gross ones, but there was one that was really not gross but more of a big disappointment and that was KY4 from Vermillion River Premium E-Juice, not sure what happen there, they have a great tobacco line but making a RY4 did not seem to work for them, I would like to have seen a new version but guess not.

Yes, one of the core paradoxes of RY4 is that it's a relatively simple flavor, and yet, making a great RY4 is not simple at all.

So I got my Smokeless Image Ry4 today. It's pretty good, but I was hoping for a more "buttery" kind of caramel and vanilla flavor, anyone know which of the good Ry4s have that quality?

Also I was wondering if SI changed their formula since time of review. The review says that it's 100%pg but the liquid seems thicker than some 70/30 formulas, also is the color is clear like water with a very slight tint. No big deal, just checking if they changed it, still pretty good though

My bottle of SI Volt RY4 has a medium golden-colored liquid that is nowhere near clear. But then liquid does tend to darken with age (caused by the liquid nic, as I recall), and I don't remember what color my Volt RY4 was when new. As for the base ratio, my personal database says "blend," which is the term I use when the exact PG/VG ratio isn't specified on the bottle or by the vendor, but I feel that there's some of both. According to an SI rep in a thread I searched for, most Volt liquids are 90/10 PG/VG.

Ah, buttery. No wonder you like Skydancer v11. v11 isn't what I'd call buttery, but it's very creamy and "soft." You won't find many buttery/creamy RY4s. All Classic and most Custom RY4s use a caramel flavor that's fairly hard and focused. You might consider VR4 from Vaperite, which has a richer, more buttery caramel that's more like a poured ice cream topping than a chewy candy.

I'd encourage you not to give up on SI Volt RY4, however (unless you truly don't like the flavor, in which case you might as well sell it, give it away, or pour it down the drain, since life is too short to vape juice one doesn't like). SI Volt RY4 is a superb Classic RY4, right up there with the very best. For RY4 lovers who don't like the Janty sour-sweet counterbalance/contrast, Smokeless Image Volt RY4, Bloog RY4, or VaporTalk Dulcis are all terrific alternatives.

That gets me thinking I'd really dig the SI RY4. Not quite sold yet on the sour from Janty DK. I do love the flavor of the Janty Classic though, and the slight sour works for me on that one.

Yeah, maybe starting out with v11 is what made me crave that more creamy caramel ry4... SI RY4 isn't bad by any means and I am enjoying it, it's just that part of me wants that really creamy smooth flavor I was tasting with the v11... Thanks for all the advice Bill

ok so I was at my brothers, and in the fridge I saw some International Delights Caramel Macchiato coffee creamer ( http://www.internationaldelight.com/Coffeehouse/Caramel-Macchiato ). So I figured to give it a try by itself and yes, it is that creamy caramel vanilla taste I was loving in the v11. So you're right Bill, it's a "creamy" not a "buttery" taste. Anything else besides Vaprite that has that? I don't like their price/size options

No worries, you've already help out alot. I have been reading the reviews like crazy. Too bad there's not a "creamy caramel" sub-category since I'm not a big fan of the darker caramel which seems to be more common... Probably gonna try mom and pop ry4v2 next

ROAR RY4 is definitely a buttery RY4. I loved that element of it but it had this other flavor element that I absolutely hated. I think it was a very unique and floral tobacco flavor. It may be something to try if you are looking for something with buttery caramel.

VapeSyndicate has a version of RY4 they call Throat Yogurt. I just received my sample today, so I won't really review it yet. But let me give out my first impressions.

This is a good vape, with a good flavor and excellent throat hit. The tobacco is not overpowering, but gives this a nice strong tobacco flavor. I can't really seperate out any caramel or vanilla. Instead, there is a unique flavor of butterscotch. At least it's not maple. The butterscotch melds good with the tobacco. Is this an RY4? Not yet, it may steep into one. Currently it is a fine Butterscotch Tobacco.

The reason I rushed into a first take on Throat Yogurt is the discount VapeSyndicate has today. Bottles are discounted to $5/10ml and $12/30ml. They say it ends Sunday. Whether that means Sunday morning or Sunday night, I have no idea. If you order, you might want to try Lil Tart. The reviews on it have been good, too.
