It's still morning so...GOOD MORNING REOVILLE!

Just came back in from having a scare...I was sitting here reading the posts when the hallwall fire alarm went off. Boy , that thing would wake the dead....and of course I'm naked as a jaybird..do I put something on or just run? Then it stopped...I open the door a crack to try to smell smoke...I didn't and the alarm stopped. No more than got back here and the alarm went off again!Threw on some mismatched clothes, barefoot, and went down the hall towards the elevator...no one else was in the hall running for their lives..?...the double doors at both ends of the hall were closed, which are always open...and they're heavy to open...the elevator was off...but people are standing around in no panic...come to find out our intrepid maintenance man was messing with the sprinkler system and somehow made the fire alarms go off...twice!So the double doors auto-close when a fire alarm goes off...good to know.

( It's really hard catching up and responding to posts anymore! I'll be glad when I figure out this puter!)

Val...did you like the first eppie of WD? I'm of mixed emotions... FIXED THIS FOR YOU First time I was disappointed .:(

I don't think I gave anything away?

It is good to know that the FIRE DOORS are working appropriately. ETA: The best way for me to open fire doors is to push with my backside using my legs. I often had gurneys to push, and found that was the fastest and easiest way rather than pushing with my arms.

And I don't agree with you on WD, but will not speak one word about it until Dave gets home including any particular scene or person.

What I WILL say is what was publicly known before the season premiere.
This episode takes place 6 to 7 months after Season 3 ended. It is similar to how they ended the previous season, with a long gap of boring stuff no one would want to watch. Remember Lori showing up months later ready to pop? Same thing. Since they don't have a pregnant belly to show the passage of time and the evolution of the people, they do it in a different way. They show you what they have accomplished so they can tear it down during the next 15 or so episodes.

When Dave gets back we can discuss particulars, but I promised him no spoilers.

ETA: who the heck is "the General"? do you mean the Governor?

Val...did you like the first eppie of WD? I'm of mixed emotions...at first I thought I was watching an updated version of Little House on the Prairie with the gardens, horses, pigs and country music! Had to go back and watch the last eppie of the previous season...thought I missed something in it. No real closure with the General...and it seems that half the eppie was devoted to a woman who's English I couldn't understand and the whole scene was boring. First time I was disappointed .:(

Just be glad you didn't run out naked in the false alarm! A little more embarrassing perhaps than just showing up confused!

Now though we can all read the thread and wonder if oldbroad is joining us in her birthday suit!

Hey Darrel!

Sounds like unneeded expense to me, but then I have never, nor can I anticipate a time when I would, use a chainsaw so what do I know?

But we do need one, I just asked a friend if we could borrow one for DH to use  Strange timing you saying this. Were you the guy in the booth on the other side of us at lunch today

Chainsaws are something I wish I would have paid more attention to Dad with when I was growing up. I remember basic rules on how not to chop off a leg or mutilate my face...but still have no clue on how to predict how a tree will fall. I have two large trees that need to come down and have been told $500 a piece to take them down!

I keep hoping some nice cowboy will just come knock on my door and volunteer.:tumble:

I actually bought one. It was a Hausverna? My son-in-law needed one for our yard there and for work. It is just another thing I left there for them when I moved. I don't think I would ever trust myself guiding a chain saw. Although I have used a circular saw. But they have a guard in place!

I will just be content with my hacksaw, if I still have it!

Hope you do find someone to chop down those trees for ya! Someone might for the wood.

They aren't in danger of falling on the house, so it is okay for a while. The only one I worried about came down in a storm and laid down perfectly between the power lines and the house. Whew...it was scary, the power was already out so I just heard a big crash and felt the ground shake.
The ones that need to come down are a huge cedar and a even bigger pine, so hopefully somebody will want them for the wood. We have a mill just a few miles away.

I'm off to feed the clowns! Have a great night everyone!

At the shore...
Thanks, friend. :)

Back to work after a surgery...I'm up to my eyeballs. Believe me, I'd much rather be hanging out with all of you than doing what I'm doing. It's time for me to re-examine my 3rd act.

I'll be around over the weekend. Thanks again for thinking of me. :)

how long has it been since you've seen a post by _more_ or debzcf?

coincidence? perhaps...

Surgery? Well, I hope you are doing fine now. Make sure you take care of you!

Get plenty of rest when needed. It does make recovery much nicer!
