Good morning,
Thank you for the avatar love and welcomes!
Tired this morning, went to watch my son's band play last night.. The bar owner is vape friendly so my wife and I were vaping away. Several people wanted to touch and hold my Reo Grand (drunk people are so uninhibited) ... One woman said, that looks like a walkie talkie.. heh.
Looking at houses today, and then my youngest has a football game tonight.
If I may offer a small piece of computer advice, (I am a certified systems administrator, so this is right up my alley)
I use a few programs on my own personal computer to maintain a safe manageable level of integrity without bogging down my system.
1. Microsoft Security Essentials
2. Malwarebytes Anti Malware, this program is free, there is also a paid version, for 24.95 you get real time protection. (I paid for this myself, and I do not regret it)
3. WinPatrol (this is a free program, there is also a paid version) that helps novices and pros alike better understand what is running at any given time on their systems, it also informs you of a pending change that you have the ability to allow or disallow. I refer to it almost every day.
4. Revo uninstaller - this is a free much more intuitive uninstaller then the default windows uninstaller.
5. CCleaner- Free also, this used to be called Crap Cleaner but the crap was dropped. It does just that, with the click of a button once a day you can clear all temp files on your computer. Temp areas are a harbinger for malicious code and executable files.
Second cup of coffee incoming..........
Nice to meet you Spoons. I use CCleaner, but am curious as to what things you remove daily? Which buttons should I click is the question, I have some programs I run for games and I don't like to clear out the settings on them, just want the crap gone. It seems when I run it, I always wipe out my script settings and it takes a bit of time to set it all back up. Thanks in advance for the tips!
ETA: Perhaps what NOT to check would be easier, thanks!
