Good morning, Reonauts.
Didn't get a chance to catch up.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Didn't get a chance to catch up.
Thanks Johni 'n Dennis I'm going to schedule an appointment next week hopefully it won't cost me a lot of money either. As long as it doesn't take weeks and weeks to get the results, that's all that matters in the end.
You know, it's pretty cool that as a result of meeting some of you folks who live inside my iPad, I may save myself from more pain, poverty and disease down the road.
ETA: Darrel is just funning with ya'll. I'm 35 not 22

I use Acronis manually and the dreaded Norton scheduled daily on more powerful home machines. Back up to networked RAID drives. I still don't feel secure. Network storage is even in fire/waterproof box. Then an occasional backup and carry HD off site. Used to use tape backup. Still have bunches of tapes and kept drives but probably won't ever take time to recover a lot of things from decades back. Have most of backups on old hard drives, too, that I pull when I give away or recycle old computers. Main things I want off of them are pictures. I'll have to say that Norton has served me well since Symantec in DOS days. Used to be some of the best software for getting maintenance done in DOS and early Windows. I did everything at DOS level for so many years. Things used to be so simple. I'm mind farting on the other products I used. Still have them on the Win95 Pen Tablets. Damn can't remember the name of company. Love it for ghosting, HD maintenance, partitioning, etc. xxxx Partition Magic, etc. Help me here folks.
I'll do a Norton cleanup on her computer, remotely, Sunday.
Kay is in good hands (or will be Sunday)
computers, medicine, math, food, Wildlings...
the depth and breadth of your knowledge is simply stunning

That's one of the few things I do right. If I don't know who it's from, it goes to spam.I only wish there was a way to turn them in to someone so they could be stopped.

How did you get it out?
Good morning,
Thank you for the avatar love and welcomes!
Tired this morning, went to watch my son's band play last night.. The bar owner is vape friendly so my wife and I were vaping away. Several people wanted to touch and hold my Reo Grand (drunk people are so uninhibited) ... One woman said, that looks like a walkie talkie.. heh.
Looking at houses today, and then my youngest has a football game tonight.
If I may offer a small piece of computer advice, (I am a certified systems administrator, so this is right up my alley)
I use a few programs on my own personal computer to maintain a safe manageable level of integrity without bogging down my system.
1. Microsoft Security Essentials
2. Malwarebytes Anti Malware, this program is free, there is also a paid version, for 24.95 you get real time protection. (I paid for this myself, and I do not regret it)
3. WinPatrol (this is a free program, there is also a paid version) that helps novices and pros alike better understand what is running at any given time on their systems, it also informs you of a pending change that you have the ability to allow or disallow. I refer to it almost every day.
4. Revo uninstaller - this is a free much more intuitive uninstaller then the default windows uninstaller.
5. CCleaner- Free also, this used to be called Crap Cleaner but the crap was dropped. It does just that, with the click of a button once a day you can clear all temp files on your computer. Temp areas are a harbinger for malicious code and executable files.
Second cup of coffee incoming..........
Quick question for you guys...I just uninstalled Norton and installed Avast. Should I also uninstall "Windows Defender"?
CCleaner next on the agenda.
Another woodvil run how awesome. I am going to try and land a 18650!
