Everyone I have mentioned it to say they love theirs, so I am expecting I will also. I think it is a mini? I haven't been in the Apple world since my iPod, and don't have anything Apple loaded on the laptop (and at this point don't want to) so I will have to wait until it gets here to figure out what apps, etc. I need.

Do you have any apps to recommend?

Congrats. I'm a tablet freak, I have six. Two are iPads, one is a mini. It's a great compaction and the tablet I use most.

There are tons of video streaming apps, hgtv, Netflix, etc. magical pad and smart office for doing productive things. Tapatalk for forums (I'm using that right now). Magic plan is fun to make a cad drawing of your house, helpful for design and remodeling. Banking apps of course, both my banks have apps. Photo tools for editing and collages, remote controls for your pc, and on and on.

And games of course :)

Good morning, my fellow Reonauts!

The blower on our furnace is being lazy this morning, it's trying to turn, but just barely moves. Brrrr! I have a call in to the HVAC company. Hopefully I won't have to give them one of my Reo's to fix it! ;)
go into a small room and vape a high wattage it will warm the room

Ha! Good idea! HVAC guy is here now fixing it, so we'll be warm in a bit. It's warmed up outside, so it's about 64 degrees fahrenheit inside now. It's much easier to warm this house, than to cool it.

We keep our house 55-57 during the winter. It keeps visitors from coming by often. Throws and poly fleece sweatshirts are a must. You can get fairly, well almost, adjusted to it. Thats pretty much the temp from early November til mid April.

I used to get a cold every November but since I started vaping I've only had one in three years.

i haven't bought any proprietary apps.

up until 2 weeks ago when i received my first social security check, my sole source of income (or loss) has been from the market for the last 4-5 years. more often than not, if i'm not here spewing my usual trash, i'm researching stocks in another browser.

ameritrade gives me a live CNBC feed in a browser window (at least on my PC). Fidelity and Scottrade give me a few extra research alternatives. i use Optionshouse for my semi-day-trading, because i trade options nearly every day. ameritrade and optionshouse have decent ipad apps. i've only used the PC for the other accounts. because i trade so much, it's easier for me to just use Excel to track everything (Val).

i am also a CNBC junkie.

Pat: last week i almost sold some puts on one of the BT companies, but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger... mebbe next week however. it'd be nice to get some $$$ back from them bastids....

now, if Robert were to go public... :)

I have Ameritrade, Fidelity and Etrade, and the California tax exempt bond fund from Vanguard because the fees are low and it is non-taxable income to us here in Cali. They have proprietary apps for the phone, but they are free. The app that I use to consolidate all my positions into one that tracks the movement throughout the day is free also but isn't affiliated with any brokerage. Are you using "think or swim?"

I was thinking about LO for BT, they had a nice quarter report and their e-cigs contributed a lot to that. Since I was forced into early retirement, I have had to self teach myself to make my money elsewhere, and am not as advanced on you with the puts. I do a few baby options just to supplement a little bit, and so far so good but I am not very confident in my ability. I am more of an investor than trader. I have the margin to do it, but am very wary. DH uses Scottrade, but since I already had the others didn't see the point. I think optionshouse has less fees for trading right?

that would have done me in as well, but i've been creepy stalking Maria Bartiromo for 2 decades now...

yes, Val, that was a straight line for you.....

...maybe

Her 20th show was great, wasn't that last week or so? I didn't start the CNBC watching until 2011 when I was stuck at home. I start the DVR with Squawk on the Street, then Street Signs and Closing Bell. I can watch all 6 hours pretty fast that way, especially when a certain politican takes too much time, I can just fast forward through the nonsense and get to the analysis of what he said that generally crashes the market

Do you have to use tapatalk on the iPad?

Good Morning REOville!

I am feeling a bit better today, I am still body achy but the throat and head are less so. I never did have a fever, just felt like it. Trying not to sneeze and cough is tough, but I learned if I do my nose will start bleeding again. At least I got a lot of rest yesterday.

I hope everyone else is feeling fantastic and staying safe!

Val, I'm glad you are feeling a little better. I know you know way more about stuff like this, but isn't a nosebleed that won't go away something to worry about?

Hugs and hope the day continues to get better!

It would be, but I can get it to stop by holding pressure. It's just that every time I sneeze it busts the clot loose and I had to start over again. And with the other side running, I can't blow either. That was by far the worst, I had the bloody nose start on Thursday out of the blue, and then blew my nose early Friday morning to great distress when it started gushing. NOT sneezing is a tough thing to do! And at one point even coughing was enough. So far so good today though after a good nights rest, the sinus pressure is less so the headache is much better too. I just have the body aches now and have to remember to sneeze "carefully"

Thanks for the hugs!

Aww, if you hadn't told me about Simba I would think that the dog in the picture was a cuddly little thing!

ETA: I am with your wife on this one. Dogs in beds I sleep in ain't happening. I clean our dog's bed and blanket weekly and they are filthy! DH has been asked to please give her a bath today as she is stinky! If he did it more often maybe, just maybe, but when I have to bathe her because he hasn't in a few weeks there is no way I would want her to get any ideas about being up on furniture. No way, no how, not happening. She is lucky I even let her have a bed in the house, she is an OUTSIDE dog. Ummm, used to be an outside dog
