Good evening everyone :) Long day running ditch witch to put in 2 foot deep root barrier beside a bike lane Seems it would have been easier to just cut trees down and Round up the stumps and just solve the problem
Val if you have smart phone with internet you shouldn't have to pay for hotspot its just a setting on the phone

AT&T charges me an extra $20 for being able to use the hotspot feature. :(

Even if you pay for 3G already ? How can they know it's just a wifi link. If they do I'd tell them to shove the phone where the sun don't shine. And get with a honest company (if an honest cell company exists )

Oh yeah, carbon monoxide detector started shrill, very loud, continuous "scream". I put it in heavy ziplock, and submerged it in a bucket of water, weighted down with bricks. While it was going off neighbor's dogs didn't do any barking. Now that it's virtually silent they've started barking again.

From your recent cooking info, Alice, it seems as tho DH is faring pretty well for your not cooking for him:laugh:

Your ".... warmer" will arrive in a few days....the van that we use here got my request mixed up so I have to request another ride maybe tomorrow( yeah...he's on the old side, too, so also suffers CRS)

Local news here from Spokane, WA:

E-Cigarette Fire

An e-cigarette started a Coeur d’Alene house fire over the weekend.

The e-cig was charging while plugged into a computer and firefighters say it overheated and exploded.

A family of four was home at the time and was able to put out the fire after the smoke alarm went off.

I hate seeing those things even though we all know they can happen. Not only because its a bad thing for the victims but because its ammunition for the naysayers of vaping. I virtually never charge when I'm sleeping or away from the house. The fact that the device was being charged by a usb cable on the computer suggests that its one of those vaping devices we too started out on....and left behind.

i *think* i've only (or at least mainly) seen those stories from stuff connected to a computer USB port, OR a car charger.

i don't think i've seen a story from a decent battery being charged in a decent charger

I just skimmed past the walking dead posts until I watched it. No worries. :D

I wonder why the ECF board doesn't have spoiler tags, like many other boards do.

I've been wondering why the WD fans don't start a thread, then they could avoid it until they've seen the show :)

hi everyone

you beat me to it.

deb's Breaking Bad thread a while back was pretty cool and attracted all the BB junkies and led to a lot of creative discussion...

Worldwide cigarettes cause more fire fatalities than anything else :) there goes their ammo :)

I am sure the ANTZ will jump on anything they can get their teeth into, unfortunately.

DH just now was talking about taxing ecigs. It was my impression that the taxes from cigarettes were levied to offset the health care costs of smokers. So if I am no longer inhaling all those carcinogens, why are they voting to tax ecigs and where will they be applying the money they get from the taxes? And, being a REOnaut, I guess I really don't care very much since I have run the gamut of devices and don't see a need to buy anything new that would be taxed in any case. I could just buy another flashlight from Rob.

I do hate it for all the new people just coming into vaping now though, they get ripped off enough by companies like Blu. And now they get news they could catch the house on fire, like cigarettes are safer? I have scars on me from cigarettes, none yet from ecigs ;)

Hi Roger
I get what you are saying but we should keep in mind how many house fires occur every day and how many of them are started by ecigs vs lit cigarettes. In fact there was another one on the west side that was caused by a smoldering cigarette ..... The husband will live, but not sure the wife will survive.

Hi all! Well, the internet is spotty but working for now. It wasn't an hour ago, but DH can use the ancient desktop fine so I am pretty sure it is the router and not the modem (which is what I told him earlier).

So what trouble are your stirring up tonight Den?

Moi???

as usual, i am merely trying to spread, peace, joy and love...

kinda like herpes
