It doesn't look good at all. He is trying to die on me. I am not very hopeful we will figure this thing out. It is probably his time, but I am still going to do whatever needs done to nurse him. He is my little guy!

Poor kitty. Sorry to hear that.

Good morning Reoville. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day here. There's frost coating all the grass and I've got my propane heater going here in the deer blind. I haven't had any deer show up yet, but I'm pretty sure I scared a few tromping out to the blind this morning. No sign of the roofers yet, but I'm guessing they're not morning people ;) I hope everyone has a great day.

Good day Fine REO Folk.

Val, so sorry about your kitty. Beaming strength, healing, and hope. You are often in my warm fuzzy thoughts. I'll double up on very positive for you.

At new place preparing stuffed eggplant casserole and 36 deviled eggs. DH did the shopping for me, last night, and dropped stuff off. Have most of my Calphelon cookware and pyrex travel dishes; insulated carry cases with hot/cold inserts. It's gonna be close timing wise. It's for n e w place T-day potluck.

Have Curly and Moe Doodles with me. Walkies takes a lot of time. They had new Vet appointment last night. All are adjusting quite well. Vet place is going to help me place Rosie Heeler and Curly Doodle. Curly is prime candidate for service dog ; quiet, calm, and so very intelligent. It's DH's choice but we're going to have some serious talks about.

I'm grungy from 3 trips back and forth, yesterday, and vet visit but may not have time to shower. That's OK. I'll be around lots of "stinky old folks" , with lots of fabulous food smells.

7 hours sleep Friday to last night but got 6 last night. I was at point I was a danger to myself and other drivers on road.

Seems like a Sunday doing all this cooking special things.

Find and give some happy.

Kaypers, we still haven't made it by UPS.

Usually carpal tunnel will affect first 3 fingers. When outer digits are involved, it comes from elbow entrapment.

Long time carpal tunnel / tennis elbow / thoracic outlet syndrome sufferer here. :) Had so many electrical tests at neurologist, that is how i know what fingers mean which entrapment.

If you are like me, keyboarding is pretty painful. I am going to get some voice recognition software and train it and start using it soon, at least for part of my day.

Might be something you can look into ---- over-use syndromes just get worse and your wrists/fingers need as much rest as possible.

Mine went away for a number of years but I pretty much had to stop typing, gardening, etc.

Thanks. I just guessed at carpal syndrome from webmd.I hate getting tested and everytime i tell my doctor about something she insists i need tests! I do have arthritis very much in both hands and wrists and even in my ankles. I also have pinched nerves.

What i miss the most is crocheting, i was such a happy ...... :D

Using the keyboard does get hard sometimes and i wear ace bandages on my wrists so they won't move. I was using digital art programs to do my art with but it has been a long time since i added anything new to my blog at wordpress.

Someday i may try out the voice recognition software it might be fun to train a Dragon :)

Good morning everyone!

Thought for the day:

Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. – Plato

^Good law^ :)

Hello everyone!

@Alice, i like reading your posts and the last line "Find and give some happy" Always makes me smile!

So, as usual I am in search of something to make for dinner tomorrow night. I made stock from the ham bone to make split pea soup, and will serve that with bread but need something else.

How does brats with cabbage and green beans in a casserole sound? I have never made it? But brats are on sale this week

HRHcat went to the vet again first thing this morning. I may have to start selling my woodvils, so far he has cost me $700+ with no end in sight. He purred the whole time the vet examined him (except the thermometer part!) and was starving like he has never been feed, ever, when we got home which is always a good sign. And now he is snuggling with me so all is forgiven. I wish we could just find an answer and be done with it one way or the other.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. He has been my sidekick for over 15 years, meets me at the door, follows me around the house like a shadow and annoyingly parks on my shoulder to read all of your posts. You just don't get a silly cat as totally devoted as he is to me, or at least I never have. I expect it from the dogs of course, but a silly cat?

HEY!!! IT'S RHP! View attachment 274838

Where you been? :glare:

We miss you in here :(

Hey there cutey patutie, my apologies on what you're going through because I'm crazy behind in the lounge. I've been outside of Reoville lately playing with what Darrel humbly refers to as shiney dildo mods  I'm diving into mechanicals, well more like chilling in the kiddie pool, and one day shall return with a higher vaper IQ concerning all things mechanical 'n rebuildable.

I miss ya'll everytime I puff away on my VVG. In 6-mo to a year I'll probably be a fine owner slash operator of a Reo Grand with an RM2. As my partner in crime and Reo-vet Jim (supertrunker) once said,

I take the view that comparisons with other mods are reasonable and fair. i don't have one of everything else and 4 Reos because i feel some altruism towards Rob, but because, very simply, having tried most of everything else - they are the best i have ever come across.

It's my opinion that people really ought to try a lot of different things and waste as much money and time as i have, because then their appreciation of the simple benefits and maintenance of a Reo is striking.

I have still not made a coil like the one pdib exhibited on a post here. That's a talent there. Mine depend on time and patience and i have little of either!

I got a bunch of them gathering dust. But, it is only fair that you go forth and discover on your own what works for you. THAT IN NO WAY MEANS YOU DON'T COME IN HERE! This isn't an "all or nothing" place. A lot of people in here still use other things, there is nothing wrong with that at all. See my signature? We just don't burn Rob's space talking about it much because that would be rude to Rob who pays for this little piece of real estate where we all meet up.

Heck, I have an eGo 400 with a clearo tucked in my purse with a high nic in it for extreme emergencies... or when DH forgets his REO at home and thinks he is going to vape mine all the time. As I have said before, I just don't understand how he can "forget" his REO? So to protect my grand from his grabby hands I must have something small enough to fit in my little purse to push in his forgetful mouth instead of always stealing MINE. How can someone just forget their REO??? :?:

Anyway, back to harassing you about your absence... GET THEE BACK HERE!

I'll not turn into Dennis on you (although lines like that are tempting) but i will point out that you can get ergonomic crochet hooks, because my mother uses them. ;)

T

Thanks, i am looking at them now on google. I never would have thought they made hooks i could use :)
