OM I can not believe how emotional I am. I sold a very precious VV Grand this evening. It is unbelievable how much these Reo's mean to a person. It is like Giving away a child. I sold a VV because I hardly ever used it. It was in pristine condition but use my Grands regularly and not my VV. I got exactly what I was asking for it but WOW it was so much harder than I thought to part with it! Am I just a woos or is everyone as attached to these am I am? Maybe because I honestly feel the Reo's have saved my life????? I would never have sold it but have 12 children/grandchildren to buy for Christmas and know we could use the funds to make their Christmas special! Have to put the children before my own wants. Know the day after Christmas I will be missing this Reo! But I have my Grands beside me. Have to have one and a back up! Sorry for the sob story all. Just it was so much harder than I thought having to sell a Reo!

i reckon kids are cheaper. "for sale - son - worthless tosser, never studied, lays in bed till 11am at the earliest - 100 OBO"

daughter: born 1980, a rare introduction to the market, in pristine condition, only one divorce - likes country music 175 firm

grand-daughter: born 2005 - to be phased in by 2022, comes with iPad, electric back massager and paid health insurance. open to negotiation for a woodvil .

If you really miss it - i have one.

But traffiking in kids and monkeys is illegal. Apparently wood is the way to go.

I, too, was beginning to stress over Christmas... then the thought came to me- the People we love so much that we are buying Presents for are more important than the Presents.
I shared this thought with a Lady a little while later, and she contemplated what I said, then replied "You know, of all the presents I got when I was little, I might remember two dolls, maybe. It's the Family being together that I remember."
My grandkids won't get video games and new coats this year, and I doubt their Parents (my kids, grown up) will get the Restaurant Gift Certificates they are used to getting. But Mamaw will cook a Meal, and we'll all see each other again (hopefully). That will just have to be good enough, and I believe it will.

Well said and how so very true. I know that is exactly why I just love Thanksgiving the best. Family all being together and being thankful for all we have. No commericialism or concerns about all the buying of gifts. Just appreciating the gift of family.

LOL Believe me some days I would pay for someone to take the kiddo's. But then again sometimes I think it is just my own fault for having identical twin boys at 42 yrs old! LOL Sure was easier raising my two adult children when I was young! Of course on a serious note I would not change it for the world. The Hubby and I tell everyone God gave us twins so they can push our wheelchairs at their high school graduation! LOL

Good morning REOvillians!

It is cold, the wind is blowing and the sky is clear. Where is the snow? We were supposed to get snow. I doubt it will stick, but dang it if it is going to be this cold we at least should get the darn snow we were promised. It rarely snows here (the roads in and out of the valley yes, but not HERE) and Siri said we were gonna get snow :glare:

I know, many of you probably get to see more snow than you like, but for me snow means visiting the cabin in Big Bear.

Healing thoughts to those who need them
Warming thoughts to those in the cold

Have a safe and happy weekend!

Good Saturday Morning Reoville!

A whopping 12 degrees out this morning. We might reach a high or 24. Sun is shinning bright and glistening off the 6 inches of new snow!

I have already been outside twice. Once to get the snow off the van. Stayed out till my fingers hurt too much. Snow removed: check!

Second time got the van door open so I could start it up. Took a stream of warm water to de-ice the handle and around the door. Our ice was about 1/2 inch thick. So much fun when it is all under the blanket of snow! We had rain before the ice storm and snow. Always makes it more interesting!

Ran the van with heater/defrost on till all the ice could be removed from the windows. Clear windows: check!

My toes are numb, well that numb, tingly, ice cold hurting thing. Tempted to stick them in warm water!

No breakfast yet. But did take my morning meds.

Still have some built up ice around my wipers. I will venture out later and chip a little more.

So, hope everyone else is happy, warm, and ready to enjoy your Saturday!

Aw come on........a little snow isn't too bad! That fluffy kind that you can almost blow off your car.

Bad thing is that we are supposed to get more of the icy mix before I go to work on Monday. So I am really looking forward to doing the ice removal thing again!

Just hope that today with the sun some of this will melt. Of course I don't know how well that will go with only a high of 24 degrees! At least tomorrow will be 31 and Monday a whopping 35!

I need to eat something. Pain meds will not be good on a empty stomach. Yes, I am going to use my Loritabs today. The cold outside lets me do things that hurt really bad when I get warmed back up.

Sucks being a old lady that lives alone.

But, my REO's are tasting fantastic! Brand new RM2 with some DIY juice that tastes like caramel candy! Goes great with my hot tea with mexican vanilla!
