This is for FEEDER... or any one else who may be thinking of getting a Killer.
(Note: Bob57 and I were exchanging e-mails earlier today, he doesn't have a life so he bothers me all the time with his inane ramblings, and the below discussion is a copy of an e-mail I sent him. I'm way too lazy to retype the whole thing.)
Been testing the Killer clone most of the morning, the jury is still out but so far it's more than worth the twelve-bucks. Have it filled with some DIY juice JCOkie gave me in Ardmore. I think it's a really high VG juice at only 15mg so it doesn't wick all that well and I have to stop and take hits off my 24mg Apple Fritter just so I don't start kicking Dawg.
It came with a 2.4 ohm coil, higher tan I usually build but I cranked up the voltage on the Provari and it's vaping fine. I did discover something I really like over the original Killer though. The tank that comes with this thing is very small and plastic so I didn't put my AF in it because of the cinnamon but I noticed the the drip tip end of the clone is much longer than the original... fits in all my Phiniac glass, XL tanks perfectly. (That saved me from having to buy another IBTanked, tank. (All my Phiniac tanks were custom done with my name and the ranch name so it's nice to get to use them again.
The draw on the clone is a little tighter than the Killer but that might have something to do with the size of the wick they're using. As soon as I'm done with this tank full I'm going to tear it down and rebuild it with 2.0 silica. It's really not all that tight and for most people it's probably pretty close to perfect, I just like a really airy draw. (All my ERA's are drilled out to 1/6th so that tells ya something right there.)
If this thing rebuilds the same way as the Killer I think I'll end up getting at least a couple more of them for my other Provari and one for one of my MVP's... I have 3 Phiniacs so I might as well use them. When my hands flare up, which is getting more and more often it gets really painful, sometimes impossible, to squonk, especially if the bottle is cold and hard so using a tank with the Killers works out pretty good. There really isn't any difference in flavor between using an ERA on a Reo or Red Sky or a Killer, or clone in a tank so that's not really a concern. Even with this thick VG I'm still pretty much able to chain vape without getting dry hits.
Twelve bucks for the clone is a hell of a lot better than seventy-bucks for an original Killer. The design is slightly different but except for the slightly tighter draw they both seem to work identically. BTW, I got the clone from Madvapes. They were sold out a couple of days ago so I don't know if they got more in yet or not, check the website. This thing might make a nice, cheap addition to your Provari.
Me.
Feeder, haven't rebuilt the coil/wick yet, hope to do that tonight or maybe tomorrow morning... I'm enjoying Jan's e-juice in it. So far I really don't see much, if any difference in performance between it and the original Killer except the Killer is higher quality. Gee, what a surprise.
