Finished up early at work today. Called home and Mamaw said "Nope, no leftovers today."
So I went to Subway for a foot long Subway Club. I even asked them to cut it and wrap it in separate halves.
I meant to bring half home to Mamaw, but it tasted sooo good..... I ate the whole thing. And when I got home, I had to tell her how good it tasted, and that's why I ate it all.
Now, as I prepare for a weekly Friday Evening meeting, I smell something very good wafting out of Mamaw's kitchen... Crock Pot Pork Roast, with potatoes and carrots saved from our garden earlier this year.
As I watch her slicing the roast, I stated "I'm getting ready to go to my meeting."
"Oh well, that's your problem." she replies.

Don't worry a bit sweetie. I've given up plowing for this year so I'll be safe and toasty like most of you. I have a backup heater head and 3 propane tanks for heat as well as my coleman dual fuel lantern for light/heat and a coleman rechargeable lantern. Also my trusty Honda 2000W generator to keep the fridge and computer going if need be. So I'm quite set. Thanks for caring, all of you!
HRH does not really understand the religious significance Texans attach to a great chilli, but she does her best! Poor woman has been ill all week with a rotten cold, but i can tell she's getting better, because that look of surly defiance is returning.
There is a photo circulating from last week's work's party and one particularly cunning individual has managed to avoid having his face shown by blowing a huge vape cloud at that precise moment. Any guesses who that could have been?

I am so lucky to be in Florida. Tomorrow will be 80 and i will be happy for a day until it drops back to 70.

I have a really stupid question. Why does anyone need a fridge when it is literally frigid outside? I would be using that generator for the TV and videos

I often wonder the same thing.
Yes, plus I need a fridge, not a freezer. Its 7f out. Milk, leftovers, butter, juice, etc would all freeze solid and be totally unusable. With a gen its just business as usual. Not to mention, while using a backup heat source, I'd rather not keep opening the door to go get my frozen milk lol.
