The pastor from his youth bible study. How's ya doin Lisa ?

Doing okay...just working late. Helping a client deal with some tough homeowners. How are you? I would want the pastor to address his concerns with me directly before making such insistances....:?: is that even a word?

If its not it will be after we send it to Wikipedia  ya I don't have much faith in preachers. Not to start a war here but I'm pure blooded atheist and well this situation kinda gives me the creeps. It just feels wrong to me.

Other than that I am ok tired these 4 am mornings are making for a long day as I find it impossible to adjust my sleep time as yet even tho I'm so tired. Maybe next week will be better. Last day on this cycle is christmas eve then start again I think on the 13th of Jan.

Shouldn't be a war....to each his own. :) I was raised & baptized catholic by a schitzo and an athiest. Go figure.
But given the experiences I had when i was young, I would certainly question everything as a parent now. Just sayin.

Ya...I once was an early riser...but not any more. And having to change work schedules fairly often doesn't do much to allow your body to adapt. I sure hope next week will feel more natural for you.

Yes, plus I need a fridge, not a freezer. Its 7f out. Milk, leftovers, butter, juice, etc would all freeze solid and be totally unusable. With a gen its just business as usual. Not to mention, while using a backup heat source, I'd rather not keep opening the door to go get my frozen milk lol.

Hang in there, I hope everything goes smoothly for you!
Sounds like you got it together.

Stops wild animals running off with your food?

T

I lost my entire freezer and refrigerator worth of food........and i had just gone shopping before our terrible ice storm.

That was my budget until end of Dec for food, i couldn't put it outside due to animals in woods, the raccoons will get into ANYTHING, they are very crafty.

Ah well, at least no trees fell on me, which is somewhat of a miracle if you saw where I lived! Lots of big stuff down on the ground though.

I really am not recuperated from the ice storm yet, emotionally it was really hard because I was so scared and afraid to go to sleep at night that stuff would fall on the house. I still feel tired but getting back to normal this weekend.

My county along with 20 others were declared disaster area by FEMA and the National Guard was going around making welfare checks on people. Even though the worst of the storm was over on Friday, timber and limbs have continuously fallen so the chain saw crews had to keep going back to rework areas.

I really don't know if I have the fortitude to go thru this again, hope I don't have to.

Don't know how you cope with it, I'd be out of there, trying to find somewhere, more hospitable

boy that does not sound good to be perpetually tired. Hope your body adjusts but when it does then you get a break and then go back to same tough schedule again?????

you know, I did some research on that once. :) There's like 4 states in the US that are "safer".....otherwise I would be trading ice storms for earthquakes, forest fires, lack of water resources, tornados, hurricanes, snowmelt and/or flooding, and blizzards, etc.

I think my research yielded 4-5 states, Fewest::/ Safest
Michigan (upper penninsula)
Maine
Vermont taken off due to floods
Grand Junction, Colorado
Rochester, NY (believe it or not, despite heavy snows it's relatively safe so far for major weather events)
Asheville, N.C.

That's it.
