Yeah, I pay a just few dollars less than I did in the city for fast internet and cable combined. Plus the $350 upfront for the satellite. It's a fair trade off for living in the country, except on Woodvil sale nights!

Even with my super slow internet I was able to snag a beauty in the past two sales.

I'm using this > N600 DB Wireless Dual-Band N+ Router | Routers | Wireless | Networking | Products | Belkin USA Site cheapie from Walmart.
 is that some of the problem?

that router is most likely faster than anything connected to it. most slow internet issues are usually either the provider, or perhaps in Buddy's case, the DSL or cable modem. most wireless routers stand up well enough, unless you have multiple devices connected streaming videos or playing games or intensive stuff like that.

So exactly how do you check your internet speed ?
I know it's Road Runner, the cul-de-sac box is in my front yard about 70 feet from my house, and after my neighbors house got hit by lightning two years ago we all got new, updated wiring. Not much of a tech guy here....

Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test

and if you want to share the results at the end of the test copy and paste the "forum" url

^^^^^^yeah what Dennis said:) That router would do well in my home:)
My isp supports the docsis3 but my modem is only a 2
Your router spec can handle 300mbps!! whoa!!
Howdy Dennis:)

That is good to know. Last time I called India to complain about it being slow they said it was my router, their speedtest shows that everything is acceptable.

Also, is it strange that it shows my server is in Kansas but I live in Texas?

Sorry Della, but I don't know what a url is and I've never done 'cut and paste' correctly.
I did the test, and it says; PING 27ms (?), DOWNLOAD SPEED 14.67Mbps, UPLOAD SPEED 1.08Mbps.
( can anyone tell me what that means ? will it be an issue sale night ?)
Looks like you are faster than I am and two brand new woodvils made it into my cart on two separate sale nights.

You also have to realise that a lot of it depends on what you have running at any one time. Right now in my house HRH is streaming music and DJing, typically playing candy crush on another screen, all over her main video game. My machine has this page up, plus a review video i am watching and a video game on another screen. ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

On sale night, all i will be running is our machines and web browsers pointed at Reosmods!

In my defence we have no tv :)

My mobile connection from tmobile is about 6 times faster than my roadrunner internet. Coming from sprint that's alot. The highest download speed I have gotten was 45 Mb per second on 4glte

Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
