doin ok. just got one of the BF IGOs from Reosmods and staring at it. might actually work up the nerve to wrap a coil in a day or two...

i ordered 13 EE. but apparently too small for my Clydesdale hooves
might have to brave a shopping mall this weekend.

Good evening, everyone
Just got back from our gala event. It was fun...but I always feel ill at ease around large crowds. I was lavished with praise and I tried my best to accept it graciously, but after a bit it makes me feel uncomfortable. I hit that wall tonight and finally had to ask my husband and the woman he was talking to to please change the subject. Then I felt shame for being that way.
I'm glad I only do this once a year. ARGH!!! Guess I still have some personal growth to achieve.

And glad you had fun at your gala!!! You'll get better with the praise (and criticism). When I first started playing shows live I didn't know how to respond to it, but eventually you learn they wouldn't say they like or love what you do if they didn't want to. so just say thank you very much and smile like this

Its funny...16 years ago, I couldn't take a compliment if my life depended on it. I only responded with self deprecation. It was so bad that a friend of mine took it upon himself to break me of that bad habit. Over the course of 6 months he constantly came at me with compliments and would only stop when I responded the right way. Over time, I adapted and began to be thankful of the praise I received and responded accordingly. For the most part, I still do, but after 5 minutes of gushing praise while I'm just standing there ing, ....I start to feel a bit foolish like I'm eaves dropping in some private conversation. 
Thankfully, the lady got the hint and helped me find another topic, which I could participate in and start offering praise to others. Totally took the pressure off and I'll forever be thankful for that.

I bet you looked awesome tonight too, if someone wanted to take the time to lavish on you. You know we know how amazing you are ok, ok, I will stop, but it is all true ya know.
I really should be sleeping instead of tormenting Lisa, so back to bed I go
I hope everyone else is having a more restful night than I am. PT went well, then rewarded myself with lunch out, and they had some hidden gluten somewhere so now I am sick again and in pain. Which means the ride we were going on is now off, at least for me. DH will probably wake up all rested and ready to go, so I end up home alone all day as usual. Which will make my weak and needy kitty and the dog very happy and me very much ...... off at PT and the restaurant and myself for being such a weak POS

I love summer because the sun lasts so long and is so warm on my old bones then i feel the best
I don't even use ac in the summer just fans. Of course we all are different Other wise everyone would live in Florida
