I have a deep distrust of slippers stemming from them being my father's weapon of choice. My mother on the other hand was far less predictable and would hit someone with anything at all that was close by. I thank them for the sprint training they unwittingly provided me with!
For loafing around the house i'll wear either sandals (with my socks of course - it's the English way) or moccasins. I stopped going barefoot when i started making RBAs - it is very annoying at 5:45 am trying to drink coffee and pull wire from the soles of one's foot.

Good evening Fine REO Folk. Hadn't planned on dropping in but had to get on internet to double check pressure cooked collard greens (inspired by Kayper's most excellent CGs at reunion). We want to eat before midnight so doing in pressure cooker on induction burner.
Just home and unloaded from Whole Foods. We started gluten-free today so had to get a few things. CGs and a few other veggies are not only organic but locally grown. Got a nice slice of pork liver pate' free as its sell by date is tomorrow. (You have to bargin with them and they usually say they cant mark down but will label it "free sample.") Using some of the salt pork Kay and I forgot Reunion weekend. Doing gluten free cornbread. Got some good crackers and the bread that I think was the one I liked last year. One of the crackers is a decent replacement for Ritz ; buttery and so important for DHs peanut butter snacking and my tomato bisque soup. Already have quinoa and brown rice but got some quinoa flour.
Trunker, DH has been wearing Berkinstocks 24/7 year round since 60's even to work. (Except ocassional dress or coldest wet weather.) He always wears black socks (always black Berkinstocks) in public to hide his hammer toes and at home when it is chilly. There's no going barefoot here, downstairs, because the dogs let us live in their usually muddy and sandy kennel and the ocassional scorpion and COPYRIGHTDMCA and other stuff they bring in that hurts to step on barefooted. (He had a patient, last week, first time in 50 years practice, who said she had never seen a doctor wearing Berkinstocks to work!!!!)
My love to all. Special thoughts for Cappy and all nneding them.
Oh yeah Jack. Feisty got in lots of fun dancing at The Oasis last night with the two wonderful couples I met; even a slow dance with one of the hubbys. DH doesn't dance so I have to ask for first dance to get things moving.
Beaming out strength and healing.
Off to cook some grub. (Only found two bugs in greens washing them.)
Love to all, Feisty Alice
