Stay safe guys. I hate tornadoes because of the lack of warning compared to hurricanes say. My action plan is basically get in the car and get out of Dodge! Car always has about 3/4 of a tank of gas and water and ofc beer and a spare duvet this time of year. I was watching the news here and they reckoned that thing by OKC was half a mile wide.

Run Trunky run!

Hey sweetie! I am at work! Temps up! I think we reached 85 today. Nice and sunny outside.

Should reach 88 tomorrow with chance of t-storms. Won't be bad though.

How has your day been? Have you got enough rest?

I'm pretty well rested I guess. Started off at that complex I posted pics of from 6 am to 11, then got a new patio started only did like 3 rows of stones but its on the way. I meant to post pics but forgot. I'll grab some tomorrow. Glad you're having a good day. It's 84 here now and 100%. Bit muggy for the NE but its not often like that.

Did he actually say duvet? A guy used the word duvet, instead of blanket, poncho or tarp? Things are worse than I thought... civilization is on the brink.

Here's my dilemma Jack: 'hey Smurfie - we gotta go but i have an old tarp in the car we can use as a blanket!' .... i'm guessing her second word is "off"!

Having spent 34 years here in tornado alley, I don't get too worked up over them as they are just a part of life here. Over 5 miles away= no biggie and say for a prayer for those in the path. Less than 5 miles away = slightly nervous. 3 miles away = nervous and turning up the tv and heading to the front yard to look for it while kids gather blankets in the center of the house. 1 mile away = grab the kids and dogs and duck and cover.

The aftermath, seeing those who were unfortunate enough to be hit. That is the worst part of living in Tornado Alley.

In the land of no hills and red dirt
Went into the ground floor of the Oklahoma County Courthouse to the sounds of sirens and saw a bunch of worried people gathered there. I stood on a soapbox and announced in my best superhero voice:

"Good citizens of Oklahoma County, fear not! I have lived in Oklahoma for my entire life and have never seen a tornado! I have even gone looking for the last dozen, and have not found a single one, for they have all gone in the opposite direction! I am a human tornado repellant! As long as you stay in the vicinity of ME, you will be safe!"

Some looked at me like I was out of my mind, the courthouse regulars clapped and applauded.

Then I felt like a total .... once I heard about the devastation in Moore. Damn.

But it DIDN'T hit the Courthouse.....you were lucky for THOSE people. Pretty rough about Moore....I'm hearing 4 confirmed fatalities....and possibly 6. Could be waaaay worse.

I've lived with these my whole life, too, and they're pretty scary. I'm thinking we've made it for today.....they're heading east towards Arkansas for now. They're saying maybe more tomorrow....that'll be three days in a row. Sunday the town of Shawnee got hit.
