You'll do great, Lisa, I'm sure of it! But I'm with you on public speaking...just waiting for someone to suggest the black socks trick:p... Val, I'll have to look into this Anaheim meet; here's the info on the one in Long Beach - http://www.vapetoberfest.com/about-vapetoberfest. As I've said, in 3 1/2 years at this, I've never been to one, so it really is high time. Forgive me for my mystery ball mix-up:p!

ETA - house mouse was the winner on the public speaking trick! We all think of it right off (I'd heard it with just black socks the first time), but have any of you HONESTLY tried it to ease your nerves? Has it worked?

Uh oh, just seeing that there is a SEVERE tornado threat today from Des Moines down to Dallas, greatest threat again in Oklahoma. And lots of rain and flooding in the area too with flood watches. We had wind strong enough to cause accidents = closed roads here, but nothing like that.

Here is a nice video of the place I live, and the lovely wind and tumbleweeds
Antelope Valley Dust Storm -- April 8, 2013 - YouTube

ETA: this was filmed about 10 miles from me. My allergies just can't take it!

How does a car even run in something like that? It seems like the dust would choke a motor out.

Just picture them all naked.....unless it's a male model convention, cause that won't help your thought processes any.
 Lucky for me, most of the people there are new to me....er...I think. I have no idea what to expect. I know I will do well, I'm always surrounded by some of the best speakers. They probably have more fear than I do, and I just don't know it.

They close the roads. It isn't good for paint with the COPYRIGHTDMCA blowing either! It is a bit more developed where I am though so even though we get the dust from it, the houses on the outskirts get the worse of it. This house used to be on the outskirts, but they put in some developments that filter the worst out. We do have tumbleweeds in our yard pretty frequently, and I have gotten pretty good at dodging them

We have a lot of wind farms and solar here though

I always try, but can never get my brain to mellow enough...I have a wild imagination when I'm comfortable or angry, but under strain of public speaking...it tends to just tip over and empty out. Nothing left for me to grab on to so often I feel like a deer in headlights. That is rarely the case...thought it just feels like it. Wayne has the same issue....and it's funny. Nobody knows the anxiety and fear we both go through to do this. I guess we're good at hiding it.

love the pic:lol:

Ignoring Val's post on account of hunger, envy, and anger for being on the other end of the country 'n missing out on her din din. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, I'm known for raiding friends' fridges and beer.

I had no plans on dropping any of mine either. But my VV purpleheart had a mind of it's own and swan dived to the floor. Rob patched it up real well though. And it's actually the prettiest of the ones I own now(patched up cracks included) because he refinished it and I haven't used it since he sent it back to me.

The great thing about the wood ones though is if you scratch and scuff them all up you can send em back to be refinished and they look good as new. Scratches on the metals are there for life though.

Sounds like another service coming down line since Rob could totally refinish the metal 1's, change colors, sand out scratches etc :p or maybe its a job opening Reo refinisher :p

I'm not a fan of public speaking either, but I can do it. The trick I use to get through it is when I first walk on stage, I pick out 3 people in the third row - one far left, one dead center, one far right - and do all my talking directly to them. It's a lot easier to talk to 3 people than a roomful.

So, someone mentioned a Vegas meet? When's this? Miss Sunny and I will be gracing Sin City with our presence in early August, it would rule if there was something vapey happening then.

Pietro, I think we had the same home builder. My house in Tucson looked just like those, same fencing, yard and even the "trim" around the garage. Mine was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with vaulted ceilings. I left the beautiful sonoran for the mojave desert. Same high temps, less beauty but my family was here and I was going through a divorce so it made sense at the time

Hey guys! How is everyone today?

HI!

Well, I just went to get tires. They are $250 each, but he found me some for only $215 with a higher tread wear than the more expensive ones. He has to order them though. The savings will pay for the alignment. I really need to ditch this car, it is too expensive to drive. I am going to the mountains next week and really need tires so guess I have to bite the bullet :glare:

So, to answer your question, I am feeling quite broke!

Tires always suck. Luckily I have a friend who manages a tire shop so I usually save some $$$ but driving through the mountains is always beautiful so you have that to look forward to seeing!

Good morning, Reonuts.

There's been a lot of interest bantered about concerning Ekowool Silica Cord and an equal amount of consternation about the retail price. If by chance you'd either like to try Ekowool, or stock up on your supply of it at a drastically more reasonable price point there is a poll going on right now to determine if there is enough interest to run another co-op.

If you're interested go to the below listed thread and cast your vote, at the top of the page. After doing so leave a post indicating that you're a Reonut and that you've done your civic duty by voting. Let the Reo Nation be heard!

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/active-coops/405162-ekowool-silica-cord-co-op.html

Did I say good morning?

Evening folks, hope everyone is well.
I'd like to publicly thank Pietro, I bought a surface from him, in the classies, last Wednesday, & received it yesterday, in the uk, with spare screws, etc. I can honestly say, he was such a genuine person to deal with, it's totally blown me away.
Sitting using it now, with a 1.3 ohm coil in it, & it's fantastic. I'm finding it that good, I'm thinking of getting another one, so does anyone know any sites, preferably in Europe, that keeps them, I can't find anything about them on the net, no matter what I enter to google
Thanks
Frank

ALOHA STATE
G'day all, sounds like everyone doing well

Lisa, I'm like the chicken alone in a coop with a hungry fox when it comes to public speaking. 5 minutes!!!! To me, there's no fame there.....more like, SHAME!!!!

Becky, that was a great video of that dog. I bet he could get a job as a handyman too. I was thinking of finding some other dog but 2 things stood out bout Heelers and Aus Shepherds were their intelligence and almost no health issues. Hopefully Zippo be worthy of these 2 traits.

Val, one day you gonna find the woody of your dreams, "all good things come to those who wait" is what comes to mind.

BTW, Zippo had a hard first time going with a leash, but after following inkdog's suggestions he absolutely loves it now. Inkdog is my new super hero!!!!!!

Gonna find out about mri report soon so gotta run peeps. ALOHA!!
