G'day peeps

I remember a PW that was in Hawaii a long, long time ago. It was in Kaimuki which is across town from Aiea where I grew up. Don't remember when they closed shop but might be the one you thinking of Lisa (I think you're way too young though :)). I'm sure there wasn't one on Molokai ;)

Good morning to you dear Karen (a post from you way back, but my "+ nut werking).

I gotta come here more often so I can keep up with you guys..... I try to read every post but can't remember all when I get to catch up.......but all have been pleasant reading :), so forgive my brainless head.

Ray, hope your doing well.....really miss you.

Hope you all kickstart today for a terrific weekend.
Good morning, Nutz :)
I was just thinking the same thing....perhaps on Oahu. That was in the mid to late 80s though. And you're correct, nothing like that on Molokai. The only "chain or franchise" businesses on Molokai back then was a bank and the Chevron station in Kaunakakai.

Thanks Karen.

I am off and on here so don't take it personal if I don't answer or reply soon!

Got 6 of the 30ml bottles of DIY done, steaks defrosting, cooked up some califlower too!

Tried to sit and watch Netflix and get my neck hurting to go away. DIY and looking down always gives it fits. Finally just gave in and took my pain pill and muscle relaxer.

Keeping it comfortable temp wise in here. It is 85 out now. Opening windows on one side and others closed. Fan is going. Not too bad in here yet. Might make it without the air conditioner.

My Mr Puffer was the clear plastic with the 3 color oscillating LEDs that were always flashing in the on position.....yep...battery lasted maybe 2-3 hours even if you weren't vaping.

Now that just sounds like irritation to me!!

Moving there, that was something I didn't fully appreciate, coming from North Seattle. But after a few months, I loved the rural quiet life that Molokai offered. And since I've left, I'm missed it dearly. It is one of those places that has everything you need to enjoy life...you just have to adapt and find what makes you happy. Not easy for a lot of folks to do. No one else is going to be your entertainment director...it's all on you. :)

Thanks, Nutz...taking today easy. Ads are already starting to come in and in the last 3 days we've already gained 3 new clients.

You put more effort in your cooking than I do!

I know over the years I've gotten really lazy!

Not too much really! It is just tough for me to stay gluten and wheat free! Here I am almost 60 and have done a total turn on the way I eat.

Finding things like the Quinoa has been a godsend. I was a true fan of my homemade bread. That was tough to give up. Loved pasta too.

Now I eat lots of veggies, meat, nuts, and some fruit. Dairy is limited because of lactose problems. I gave up white potatoes and only eat sweet potatoes on occasion.

Lots of my food is eaten without much time cooking. I usually make enough at one time to last me a few days.

Most things I've stayed normal with but for snacks it's nuts and fruits.

I know, I know....It is blasphemy to even mention the name on ECF. But honestly, I do have fond memories of watching folks smash their vapezillas on video. That guy sure ...... off a lot of people. Sadly, he was the first of many.

For those that are too new and never heard of the infamous VAPEZILLA!!

Good morning, Sashwa :)

Huh...so where do I remember it from? I didn't go to the east coast the first time until I was 14. Maybe I'm remembering Pay N Save...I think they were an extension of Piggly Wiggly, or was it Pay N Pak?:facepalm:

Stop and Shop bought out A&P. Maybe that's what youre thinking of. The new store will be called.......Stop & Pee!
