Hi all! Just popping in to say I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

I took my sick kitty to the vet on Friday, and the vet wasn't sure what was wrong but my baby lost weight and I was getting concerned. I stressed out all weekend and finally the labs were back this morning. It is nothing too serious (whew!) so he got some steriods and antibiotics. He is gonna be ...... when I give him the pills, but such is life. Last time he was like this it was a big deal and cost me a lot of money treating him for his thyroid so I was really worried it was that again (especially since I had decided that treating it again would not be an option at his age). Apparently the radiation he had worked and his thyroid is perfect! This is the only cat that my vet had ever seen treated with the radiation, so he is pleased I didn't take his advice and had it done now that he knows it works (at a cost of over a thousand dollars!) Vets learn things from nurses just like doctors do it seems

I love them. I have 2. I drill them out to 1/16. I've had one on my mini2.0 for months, it's all I use.

Thankfully most of the water has gone back where it belongs. Although it keeps raining a bit every day it seems. The clean up will probably take a little while still.

Kind of excited that my last event is tomorrow, and then I go into summer mode! Next event in October (until something else pops up), and off to Hawaii in three weeks!!!

We found flights that were impossible to pass up ($500 return), and it was on the list of places we wanted to go, so it kinda all fell together.

That's pretty good. When we go it will be in typhoon season so flights should be cheaper. I don't think I can do the heat the rest of the year plus I love big storms.

Hey Darrel. How goes it? As I said before, my current radio station of choice is a CBC public radio station from Canada and I spent most of my work day listening to accounts of the train wreck and subsequent explosions resulting in many lost lives in Quebec. Terrible chain of events. My heart goes out to that little town.
