morning reoville its raining here but thats ok cause its nice and cool also
:)

Wish it would rain here in the part of AR I am in. I am still cutting down dead trees from the drought last year. Yes, I live in a forest, but you still don't want to be losing trees, esp. hardwoods. :(

It hasn't rained here in quite a long time, the grass snaps and crackles when you step on it, that is how dry it is. That is unusual for here.

Good afternoon Reoville.

It doesn't take much for me to be impressed and today I am impressed with Comcast. About 8:30 am this morning, I get a call from a Comcast Tech asking me where my place is at. He had a dispatch that I was experiencing a leakage and that he was here to check it out and that I should have gotten an email with my appt reminder. I told him that I knew nothing about it nor had I made an appt. He apologized for bothering me. I told him that I was behind the main house and could he please check to make sure I was not leaking although I was not seeing any problems with my TVs or Internet. He came back to me and did find that my TVs were experiencing. He replace an old switch outside that had been here since '94 when I first got cable when I moved here. I guess what happened was that someone at Comcast noticed the leakage and set up an appt but forgot to inform me because I never called in to complain about problem. And yes, I checked his credentials when he came back here to make sure he was from Comcast.

I love the green

So did I. :)

This came from another REONAUT, so she will recognize it. :)

I went ahead and had it rebuilt to be on safe side, since it would be going to a *Reo newbie* -----and bought 2 brand new AW IMR 18650s for it from Randy.......

so it's staying "in the family" cuz Vash is a wonderful addition to the REO Community as I'm sure you've noticed what a nice guy he is. :)

Grands are just too big for me, i have to much arthritis in my fingers, hands, and wrists to even hold it.

(I ended up buying Della Cirque's REO 2.1 from the classies, so you see, we just move things around over here.

But we all end up with something we LOVE!!! I know I did.!) I love love love love it and will post a photo soon.

Now, i need help w/something. Actually 2 things. Obviously, I am doing something wrong. Firstly, I had a wonderful reo mini black annodized w/silver door, it was stolen from me while I was out of town. good theives are very fast. I am kinda slow these days, so I really am sad about this. I really NEED something to put it in so I can attach it to my person. !!

2ndly, i have lost two trippy tips in less than 2.5 weeks. I use the 1.7 ohm shorty cartos. The trippies have two o-rings...the bottom one fits down into the carto, but the top o-ring does not seem to go inside to the carto.....and I believe that is what made them loose. Do I need to press them in there better or what?

So one I lost getting onto an ATV ... to ride up to somebody's house on a mountain top on july 4th for a party. Their driveway snakes up a mountain side, and is gravel/base, and I did send out a search party but that tip will never be found in over 1/2 - 3/4 miles of dirt and gravel road. :(

The other one I thought fell off in my purse, but it must've fell off in parking lot at my dentist. I never have found that one either.

So what am I doing wrong? I am sort of heartbroken about losing so many things lately. I'm sort of clumsy I guess, and probably have too much on my mind lately, ya'll know how that is.

Obviously I am not placing the tips onto mods correctly!

PS I feel like a clutz talking about this. I used to be able to build computers and repair the tiniest electronic gadgets! This arthritis has made me into a different person, it seems like my most techical skills now are using a can opener

This is a photo of my workshop area......I have great tools, can barely use anymore........I used to cannabiilize computer hard drives and take the Neodymium magnets out, that is what everythig is hanging off.

these magnets can literally almost take your finger off, if you get stuck between 2 of them. At the very least, we are talkign a huge blood blister. anyway, if you want one I'll be glad to send. Nothiing will drop off these once attached. :)

Anyway, I've turned into a hopeless klutz now

Try putting some juice around the o-rings before putting the trippy on the cartos. It will make it easier to insert the trippy - Especially when they are new. Some of them will go all the way in and others will on go into the carto/atty so only the top of the last 0-ring is showing.

Edit: Sometimes I also have to push and turn to get the trippy to fit.

Sashwa! YES! Your photos show how mine were in....ie. top oring is still showing/sticking out. To me, that is just not secure/tight? They can be knocked off pretty easily?

I better find / make / get / buy something to "carry" the reos in, maybe some kind of neck or belt thing, that way maybe they will be safer overall and receive less jostling.

In meantime, I guess it will be cheapo drip tips for me from now on.....can't be having nice things than losing them like this.

Mine fit pretty snug even like that. I test them out by picking them up and do small swings to make sure they are snug. If they come out easy I just re-do them again and push harder to get them into the atty/carto. I have lost a couple though - 1 when I was taking the dog for a walk and one at the movies. I also have arthritis in my hands and have found I do better with reos that have the side buttons rather than the top button.

It's he** getting old, isn't it.

*sleepy yawn*

Good morning everyone :)

Well REOville.. it's been 7 days since I got what I now refer to as my "end-game" hardware. I can't thank you all enough for being who you all are.

Rob, the REO is an absolute masterpiece. I am hoping I'll be able to stop myself at around a half dozen.. that oughta be more than enough REOs to keep me in juice options with a couple available to play mad coil scientist too :)

Commensurate to the masterpiece that is the REO is the community that has formed in its sphere of influence.

I just. Seriously. I just can not get over what a warm, intelligent, caring, conscientious bunch of people inhabit REOville.

Thank you all for welcoming me into the fold. I would think no less of the hardware if you were all jerks. I do admit though the device seems to mean a bit more to me, sort of has an immediate sentimental value, being as every time I use it I am reminded of the outstanding people with whom I share this enthusiasm.

Hope everyone has a beautiful day :D

This here little corner of the ECF world is the icing on the cake that isn't covered in the brochure. Awful sweet bonus isn't it?

---- Seems like someone bearing a striking resemblance to myself suggested the 2.1 for you a while back Laura ;) Or maybe it was some other big tall and bald scary looking guy and another kind of horse. Glad you got a model that works well for you my friend. Lord knows you tried and kept at it until one fit.

-------Don't be too hard on yourself over lost trippys. When we were in colorado last month, the Trippy Tipster Bert himself lost his favorite one ...in the car!! It fell down between the seats and into a cutout in the carpeting and slid down out of reach somewhere. Pietro, Bert and I and others must have spent a couple hours all told trying to figure out where it went. Never did find it.

I got that one for only shipping, mousie. I happened to be at the right time and at the right place. Bert posted up that he had some free July 4th trippys on the site. I was shocked when I got there and they were still there and was able to score one. I had no idea what it looked like until I got it.
