The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
All weather tires are rated for snow and have a snowflake inside of a mountain symbol. All season tires are for everything except winter.

they are legal in winter in most places where i live except the mountain passes but I still wont run them myself if I need to get somewhere I want to be sure I'm getting there

All weather are a legal snow tire they have the snowflake on them so if you are in an area where you need snow tires in the winter they are legal where all season are not legal If you ever do any mountain passes you will likely need either snow tires or all weather tires
Passenger cars - Winter tires

Thankfully I'm not doing any mountain passes (unless I decide to visit Rob in Maine... :p ). Thanks for the explanation!

I know its a totally different vehicle but my truck eats goodyears for breakfast they dont even last till lunch time  less than a year after my last set they were no good I have used them for years on all my other vehicles too with great success it seems the diesel torque doesnt agree with them

The Prius doesn't eat anything...easy peasy transportation.

Same here my cars they last for years and keep their snowworthiness but my truck goes through Goodyear Duratrac tires in a year. Must be different compounds. I wish they made the Assurance in truck size just so I could compare.

Yes, you did suggest that. :) I just took the circuitous path to get there. I did have a 2.0....the rounded corners of the 2.1 is what made all the difference for me. It's the small things that become personal preferences though, for others they are thinking about battery life, or what rba they can use.....LOL

Thanks for the story about the trippys, at least I don't feel like I am the only one who loses stuff.

Okay ya'll have to look back, if it's there.... "Big Tall Scary Guy" isn't but let's keep the secrete. Granted he is big and tall and strong (and really handsome), in stature and character, but he certainly is the furthest from "scary" that ever existed!!!!! Just like my big strong Mastiffs, capable of taking down a fully armored trained warrior, he epitomizes "push me way far and I'll give you so many chances to explain before pinning you, but I won't bite unless absolutely necesssry"............. And I certainly won't rip you to shreds (literally and figurative ly) My "puppy sonny" is a benign lovie, although of protecting the pack only if required in extreme circumstances. Oh, my.... I've exposed a vulnerability..... big snuggly teddie bear but geared for "gentle giant" and family protector yet geared for war only in extreme circumstsnces. Forgive me if I have disclosed too much.

I could have bought a Prius back in '07 when I bought my bimmer used but I'm glad I didn't because the earlier model Prius were buggy and dorky. Still are, I mean if I owned a house and a garage it would be ok but it would look pretty silly running an extension cord from my second floor apartment all the way out to the parking lot just to charge a vehicle

My favorite vehicles were the one's that I had been given free of charge as hand-me-downs from mommy & daddy back when I was a teenager. Paying for things, sucked!

Deb, Ya don't wanna know how much my low profile tires ran me, not to mention the rims. It was fun though, but now it's just a relic from a misspent youth.

Low-profile tires are for folks who like reading comics

Your truck probably has massive torc 'n horsepower, the dudes you passed were probably in rentals or stock bimmers. I would never own a truck because I'd be worried all my friends (and friends of friends, otherwise known as STRANGERS) would always ask me to help them move furniture or stuff when they move out. It's bad enough they steal my beer!
