So tomorrow I'm going to go check out my future residence, it's also a senior complex but them folks REALLY know how to enjoy themselves.

THEIR little van take people places even if they don't live there! So I'm going to be a Wed. afternoon regular at the euchre games...

oh the fun I will have...

the havoc I can wreak....

I know for a fact you will liven up any place. What a bummer this place isn't working out. Thank doG you don't have to do a big yard sale this time. Off to clean Roombas. Storms heading in and just got a text from DH that City is doing ground spraying tonight and tomorrow night for west nile mosquitoes. I didn't know they sprayed when it rained. Army of Roombas to clean outside after battening down the open umbrellas. Have to have them open to clean the 'bots when it rains; something you can't do inside because of so much dust. In a pinch I do get out the vacuum and little attachments but that's such a hassle.

Aww! Thank you my friend...oh..and I have a surprise for you sometime on down the road....

and it's ok that this place didn't work out! I've actually had my eye on this other place cuz they have a senior center right at the building...I've put in two apps. over the last few years and then was impatient so rented somewhere else ( they have a long waiting list and I'm not too good at waiting:facepalm:)

If the previous house up north hadn't been mold infested and I had to move quickly, I'd still be waiting for this other place...oh well, it
ll all get sorted out eventually. The main thing is I'm back close to my grandaughters!

I'm so glad you are okay with a move. If you have to stay there when it gets cold and they don't do enough heat the little oil filled electric heaters are nice for heating small area, safely, and pretty economically. In winter I put one in coldest corners, where one of us will be for a spell, and always one by DH's recliner, when he is here.

Had to come in. Too much lightening. For about 30 minutes it was a soft drizzle, so unlike what we really get here as "rain." Loved it!!!!

The "Senior" places I've visited are so enticing. Too bad they don't take a pack of Bubs. I'm counting on how long I can expect the Doodles and Heelers to live and figure I can move into Senior living at about age 74. Only 10 more years if this money suck place doesn't do me in.

DH resisted moving into the apartment down on border where he works four days a week. One of his main concerns was having to meet and greet neighbors. So far he's been able to avoid contact and rarely sees anyone. It's a no pet place so no one out walking dogs and he usually leaves for work after most peeps have left and gets home before they get off.

Me, well, I need plenty of solitude but enjoy a lot of gad-flying about, too. Would love to have access to card games right out the door or down the hall. Bridge!!!! Euchre was a popular game when I lived in Cincinnati during some college years. I think I liked it.

Looks like you're personally keeping Roomba in business.

It looks like there will be some good Reo baby pics tomorrow! The only thing is, I won't have any batteries for the mini I ordered.

I don't know where Highland is at I can look it up in a few minutes when I leave but if it's along my route or close enough that you'd come meet me I can give you one to get you going. I'll be going through Il starting at St. Louis up 55 to 39 to 88. if you are anywhere near there let me know.

Seniors home.. geez, I feel too young to be in this lounge haha jk. Am I too young to own a Woodvil lol? Or a REO in general hahaha :p :D

Maybe there should be a rule to put a age requirement for purchasing a Woodvil. That might help us "older" folks by having more to grab on sale night!

Either that rule or one that states a length of time as a Reonaut to purchase. No Woodvil for those that have been a Reonaut for less than 1 year! Of course that would eliminate those without a REO.

I personally think that purchases must be made by a female. They could purchase for their male partner.

Want more rules? LOL!

Heres another teaser :p (not my pic)

That is one well cared for Woodvil! Just spotless & beautiful...lucky you! I have a feeling I know who your REO angel is. :)

That stinks, Lee! I'm a REO vet and still just ordered a Grand knowing I don't have batts and won't be able to get them for a little while. Plenty of time for polishing and worshipping.

On a similar note - my father considers himself "middle-aged", but i have pointed out that i don't know many men that die aged 145.
I think i have been excluded from the will. Oh dear!
T
My Mom informed me 2 or 3 years ago that I was middle aged. I tried to tell her no, that will only give me the life expectancy of 60 something, then realized it is closer to seventy something...I was forgetting to carry the 1. (which I still think seventy something is cutting it extremely short!)

If you're getting the same storm we had, don't get too excited. Wind blew, satellite went out, trash can rolled and then it rained for all of ten minutes.

Good evening REOvil!

Tip o the iceberg!!!!! I maintain them well and haven't purchased one in several years. I had as many of the 4xx series and a bunch of Dirtdogs and part of my army is Scoobas. I started with three of the very first ones to clean on weekends when help was off. They were overwhelmed. Three Trilobites upstairs as the carpet up there is really hard on the Roombas. Now that upstairs is a no doggie zone (when Finn and Sissy aren't here) it's easily cleaned with an upright. Five or more Roombas, with aerobins, get filled up daily, if they are run daily. If I skip a day, I have to empty the bins once during cleaning and they are filled at end of second cycle. More than a couple of days I run the Dirtdogs first as it is all tile and loads of plant and ground debris. This is for only the 1500 sq ft downstairs. I don't exaggerate how challenging my environment is. If I were designing a house the floors would be burnish concrete, with no slip coating, with lots of drains in floors, outdoors patio furniture, easily hosed down, electronics, art, and books behind sliding glass doors, and a fire hydrant (okay a few regular spigots around) to hose everything down and outdoor lighting. Of course a few antiques but they'd need polyurethane finish. Serious!!!!!

Current radar. FREAKY low speed winds except for a very first few minutes. It's coming from southwest. Rain is coming straight down instead of sideways like normal. Not even a flicker in electric which is the norm. But I wanted to play outside!!!! No complaint about air temp!!!!

We certainly need the rain!!!!

Good Evening REOpeeps...I gotta eat cause I'm starving, but wanted to tell you a funny car story first.

So my service adviser called to tell me the car was ready. We continued to debate the issues and why things weren't "covered" under my extended plan. I said, I'm coming in now...have the manager there.

I'm getting ready to leave and I thought, how can I get some bad press out there really fast. I go to FB and 'like' their page, then I post a colorful status about the situation, what bull it is, and 'tag' them in it.

Lo and Behold, I get to the dealer and the adviser and manager have re-evaluated the circumstances and repairs were covered. Shocking, huh...LOL

When I turned 25 my daughter informed me i was a quarter of a century old. Then when I turned 50 she happily congratulated my half century mark :)

When i get to be a century old i will be in the news. LOL! Just 40 more years and let me tell you the days are shorter as i get older. When i was younger it seemed like a day lasted forever. Now a year can pass so fast that i don't bother to change my clocks forward or backwards anymore. I just keep my watch time current.

Time is just a number that don't mean a thing
It is how you live life that makes a heart sing
