i was just told i cannot turn the a/c on here! because she never turns it on till 30 mins before i arrive home from work. There is not an avatar for that 'err - my house - i'll do as i please' look. I never eat breakfast Alice - mine is a coffee and a vape.

It's 82f here inside and i am rather fine with it, but i have few discernible allergies or the rest of it - hope you feel better soon and get some spare ribs in you!

I have been hearing great things about brick cooked chicken: so in the spirit of scientific endeavour i'll buy one tomorrow and see if a Texas brick igloo can cook it at 95f tomorrow with no help from me!

I may relent and cook some baby back ribs on the bbq if she's nice to me later, but i have another appointment next week with the miserable harridan i call a doctor!
"what is that lesion on your face?" "lesion?? ...?? this? it's a beauty spot, mole or naevus - i was born with it! Cheeky cow!" "oh well just as long as it didn't come on suddenly..."

"darling - i'm bald - last thing i need is sun exposure - that lobster peeling look makes it hard for me to attract women"

When DH is home he freezes me out (side) literally keeping inside so cold. I have to wear heavy shirts and blankie when in recliner. For me cold is 72F. It's even worse when I come inside from working or swim/spa. I usually break for warmer part of house to put layers on if not going back out. Moving air helps (or hinders) for cooling or freezing in my case. In main part of house we have five ceiling fans, one pedestal fan bringing coolest air from dining/kitchen to DH's corner, and tower fan behind my recliner sofa spot aimed at DH. I can't escape cool moving air unless I leave the main part of house or dress in layers. Funny to see jackets/sweaters/heavy shirts hanging on hall tree in extreme TX sizzling weather but only way I can cope.

Brick chicken sounds marvelous. May have to give it a try. Have a huge organic chicken in freezer. It's too big to fit in the little counter top oven with turning spit. Do a nice sweet marinade saving some out for last few minutes on grill. Enjoy for one meal and leftovers for yummy stew.

Enjoy the cool. We're doing movies rest of day in the COOL. We've had our share of "fireworks" and "excitement" already this week. We did watch "Gettysburg" and "Grant and Lee" last night so we've gotten in our patriotic observances.

Feisty Alice

(Edit) And DH is warming up mandatory 4th of July hotdogs right now. They are all turkey, GF, that he gets for the Bubs, but they share them with us.:D

Well - it's not very cool here at all - HRH has her way. I just changed the way the a/c vents work! And if you are all patriotic like:

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Ben Franklin.

I might try a little soldering later just to be annoying - i parked my car 2 blocks away so as there are no reprisals and i cunningly disguised it an an old t-shirt of mine! So HRH and the doc will never find it!

"i'm just borrowing THE car to go shopping" GL!

It has rained all day long here. I didn't have anything planned today anyway so it doesn't matter, But I'm having a hard time resisting a nap. I was supposed to work today and be off tomorrow, but someone else in the department needed tomorrow off so we traded. It will probably be gorgeous tomorrow. While I'm at work. :p

Call in sick and see how long they are pleased then! I like to wait till tons of stuff has piled up and then say the doc asked me on a date!

My only chance of being at work tomorrow is if everyone else is dead or they need some technical assistance. Besides, i'll have to take clothing off my car to wear.

Hello Reoville!!!

I've been struggling with a lot of GERD issues.

I'm still cooking massive amounts of meat on the grill, just not eating my goods.....

I've dropped 22lbs in 4 weeks and have not had coffee or caffeine. I'm really, really trying to find a balance on my nicotine intake as i'm sure is the cause of my neck issues,

My pants are sagging now which is good, i'll drop another 20lbs and be able to make a better diagnosis as to my issues???

All I can say is getting older sucks... and I have to be more accountable for my health....

/like but only for sympathy/empathy. I don't have any answers for you but hate that you are having problems Dano. Hope you find a perfect solution AFTER you have dropped all the weight you want or need to ;)

Pillows - lots of pillows. I prop my head up when i sleep and paint eyes on my eyelids so that when HRH comes to bed it looks like i am paying attention.

Good to see you Dan, but i'd get to a doc with that weight loss - i have one that finds blood letting and hairy chests amazingly sexy and that's before i fire up the bbq and pretend i'm you!

I lost 1 pound last week, but i ate out a lot. I drink one coffee a day (to kickstart my .... when i get up) and i use 18mg juice is all. I'd lend you a shirt too - but it's on the car just now.

I doubt it's the nicotine, but i am to medicine what King Herod was to babysitting.

I just put it on and there's a little blurb on the the right side of the screen that says New WD starts in October.

I have not yet got to see Season 3. Don't have cable. So can only watch what is available on Netflix.

Sure is tough not to watch online from Amazon!
