i was just told i cannot turn the a/c on here!because she never turns it on till 30 mins before i arrive home from work. There is not an avatar for that 'err - my house - i'll do as i please' look. I never eat breakfast Alice - mine is a coffee and a vape.
It's 82f here inside and i am rather fine with it, but i have few discernible allergies or the rest of it - hope you feel better soon and get some spare ribs in you!
I have been hearing great things about brick cooked chicken: so in the spirit of scientific endeavour i'll buy one tomorrow and see if a Texas brick igloo can cook it at 95f tomorrow with no help from me!
I may relent and cook some baby back ribs on the bbq if she's nice to me later, but i have another appointment next week with the miserable harridan i call a doctor!
"what is that lesion on your face?" "lesion?? ...?? this? it's a beauty spot, mole or naevus - i was born with it! Cheeky cow!" "oh well just as long as it didn't come on suddenly..."
"darling - i'm bald - last thing i need is sun exposure - that lobster peeling look makes it hard for me to attract women"

When DH is home he freezes me out (side) literally keeping inside so cold. I have to wear heavy shirts and blankie when in recliner. For me cold is 72F. It's even worse when I come inside from working or swim/spa. I usually break for warmer part of house to put layers on if not going back out. Moving air helps (or hinders) for cooling or freezing in my case. In main part of house we have five ceiling fans, one pedestal fan bringing coolest air from dining/kitchen to DH's corner, and tower fan behind my recliner sofa spot aimed at DH. I can't escape cool moving air unless I leave the main part of house or dress in layers. Funny to see jackets/sweaters/heavy shirts hanging on hall tree in extreme TX sizzling weather but only way I can cope.
Brick chicken sounds marvelous. May have to give it a try. Have a huge organic chicken in freezer. It's too big to fit in the little counter top oven with turning spit. Do a nice sweet marinade saving some out for last few minutes on grill. Enjoy for one meal and leftovers for yummy stew.
Enjoy the cool. We're doing movies rest of day in the COOL. We've had our share of "fireworks" and "excitement" already this week. We did watch "Gettysburg" and "Grant and Lee" last night so we've gotten in our patriotic observances.
Feisty Alice
(Edit) And DH is warming up mandatory 4th of July hotdogs right now. They are all turkey, GF, that he gets for the Bubs, but they share them with us.
