Morning Jen! Hope you are feeling better!

Our temps are lower than average. Really strange. We have had highs around 80 for a couple weeks. Will have a couple this week that reach our normal of 86. I am loving the nights in the 50's and 60's too.
Good morning, Karen! Those temps sound dreamy! I don't mind high day time temps as long as the nights cool off. It is staying in the eighties all night and that is just gross. My bedroom is super cool with its own window unit and ceiling fan...

RHP- print out a credit report and call who is owed yourself. Sometimes the original creditor is more willing and capable of trimming off fees. (Over limit fees, annual membership fees and such)

I tried that a long time ago. The original creditor sold her debt to another more aggressive creditor who then eventually pawned it off to a more ghetto creditor. Now for example, Old Navy just says it's out of their hands.. grr

It's ok, I'll figure it out, I always do. I'll probaly have to find a lawyer (civil/financial). I just wish I was recognized for it more often because I am better at money than she was, thats for sure. But we're not responsible for mistakes we made before we met each other. That was the deal.

Thats where you people inside my computer come in because I can say wth I want to say to her but without her ever finding out/hurting her feelings!

I may end up claiming ya'll as dependents on my tax

RHP: Back in the day when I had CA after me... They lie. You owe us 1,000.00 We will reduce it to 250.xx if you pay now. Guess what? In 6mo. to a year they call back. You owe us $750.00 if you pay $250 now we will be done. Unless it is in writing it is a lie they just want it in chunks.

I had it in writing once. I faxed them proof and they dropped the additional collection. But, if it isn't in writing then you are responsible for every penny.

Today Jacob will begin his journey to my home. Here is the story.

Gil purchased a Jatoba/Teak from the last batch of Woodvil's. Jacob was once lost, stolen at a hospital and later found in the dumpster by police and returned to Gil.

Gil later sold Jacob to me.

Months later Gil wanted a Woodvil. I thought since Jacob was his before it would be right to sell him back.

Now it is time again for Jacob to find another home.

I am so happy to get him back here! I really think he missed his family here! He is NOT leaving again if I can help it!

I was lucky enough to be affiliated with the military when my major credit problems hit the fan...I forget the acronym (CCR is what comes to mind  ) Anyway, they helped weed through what was legit and what was bs.

Mornin REOville! RHP, for credit card bills, get ahold of Consumer Credit Counseling. They will work with the creditors to get the bill down, and you will pay CCC each month and they will pay the credit card companies. It's tough, but CCC has a lot of experience with the companies and will get the final bills down as low as possible. CCC doesn't charge for what they do. I've been thru it and it really helped. Plus an end to the phone calls and hassle is wonderful. When you are looking for Consumer Credit Counseling be sure to ask them if they charge, if they do, go elsewhere. Some companies have popped up over the years that try to charge for the service CCC gives. Best of luck to you on this, I haven't had a credit card for the last 8 years, and while it takes a bit to get used to it, it is one of the best things I ever did.

CCC! That's who helped me get it under control. Just had CCR on the brain.

we dont have any credit cards for the last 4-5 years so I agree lostknitter, i havent missed them ever since the bubble burst. dan, some of them are like 6 years old so again, I think i'll need a lawyer/advisor involved to get some peace of mind knowing what to do, who to pay, and how much to pay.. so that we can put this garbage behind us and move on without it totally destroying our credit along the way.. afterall i'd like to get a home ONE DAY, or a car loan, or a credit card to buy time between paychecks.. the alternative is that I earn boatloads of money like some columbian drug lord

There is a "statute of limitation" on the credit card debts. I recommend a lawyer/adviser for valid advise, but I believe it is 7 years.

Howdy, Malkuth! I've been in a drug induced haze and don't think I've properly said Welcome or hello to you! I see you roaming around these parts and at least wanted to say hi!
