It was a tough sell to convince me to give Primal a try. But having a daughter that was practicing and noticing such differences made me listen. It was not just her, it was her husband and kids too.
Wheat is just not the best thing for us. What it does, causes is damaging to our bodies. Our stomachs, and intestines are not made to digest wheat.
I feel the results. And so does every member of my family that is on Primal.
I have grandchildren with all kinds of allergies. One has celiac disease. I feel that as humans ate foods that were not good for their digestive systems they, over time, developed disorders and disease.
With your problems it sure would be a good test to try something that just might work.
(edit) for some reason my phone won't show whole message for edit. CORRECTION We are now doing coconut milk.
We've been low carb, few grains except rare ocassions for over a decade, even little rice. Only simple sugars allowed in house for that time was ocassional small quantities of candy, an ocassional carry out dessert, and of course my white wine. Stevia, agavie, Splenda, saccharin for us and white sugar only for the hummers. Massive quantities of Beer-ritas only lasted a few months at The Oasis and DH stayed very vocally disapproving the whole time. A loaf of mixed grain, no sugar bread will last us over a month with part of it thrown over deck for critters when we want fresh but not doing that now as it draws in the coyotes. We have two half loafs of month old GF bread in fridge now. We only started doing a few grains when we went total GF a few months ago. I was GF much of 2012. Frankly neither of us are overly sensitive to gluten but consume it sparingly on rare ocassions now and know well the long term affects it most likely has. Until I did some potatoe bombs last month our average white potatoe consumption, for each of us, was maybe two a year. We eat a lot of yams with only salt, pepper and a little good margarines, most usually olive oil based. We do a lot of olive oil.
Two microwaved eggs with parmesan to kick start the day with almost pure protein.
I got two small frozen Sara Lee cakes for Sissy and Archie. Sissy and I each split the remaining piece last night. I'm paying for that mildly today. It was Key Lime cake; very light and not very sweet but oh so yummy.
Discounting my wine DH and I, eating our normal "diet" without any restrictions consume, in a year, carbs, sugars, wheat and gluten, what many people consume in a week. My excess sugars and carbs come from white wine and more recently the OJ I'm mixing with it (I get the not from concentrate with added calcium and Vit D or fresh squeeze at home). DH goes through about 2 gallons of v8 a week. Not kidding. I need to drink more as I love it.
Lactose is major trigger for IBS now days so I'm researching which cheeses cause least issues. Cheese is major source of protein and snacks for us. Before we started extreme low carb, Atkins,
