I bet that was fun! I don't get out as much as I used to, so no one sees or asks me about my Reos. I keep trying to vape in view of the police...in hopes they pull me over...but alas...they're too hip for that. 
Lol only managed to catch up make one post leave for 2.5 hours and somehow in the middle of the night i still have to go back and catch up again! Off to bed now probably gonna be a hundred pages behind by the time i wake up at the rate you guys are going tonight.
Headache anyone? You know the feeling when you wake up and think about the previous night and the bits that are missing. Who did I upset again. Thankfully the misses said I wasn't to bad. So I'm learning to behave! Posted drunk last night, made no sense but hopefully didn't offend anyone, think not. This thread moves so fast!! Think about joining in with a topic and by the time my tiny mind figures out what to say I'm already 5 pages behind.

Sam, did you know Compuserve started in 1969? I looked it up after last night when Christine said she hasn't heard of Sizzlean in over 30 years. Now what's sizzlean have to do with compuserve? No idea 
but I remember when all we had were 3 choices for isp's; Prodigy, aol, and compuserve. I was going to bring it up but the lounge went a little on the bizarre side.
Some british fella posted pic of doobies or cigarettes, someone changed nicks, karen disappeard (even ed was asking about her), Val was in Vegas asking me to look up what serial number her Caravela was in her sig for some reason (I hope she won!).

Yes, I tried them all. My home computer at that time was an ATT 7300. Sadly, the only one of the three that would work with a Unix machine was AOhell. However, then (as now) 90% of everything I do is via ssh (telnet at that time). BBS worked well on the 7300 as well.
Isn't that how slang started, like smiley faces and stuff? Because everything was so slow people condensed words and expressions, also to bypass censorship.

Actually, smilies were a long time after that. The emoticons were originally character strings *g* You will probably notice that I still use them a lot. For me it is easier to type a character string than to search through a page of pictures (that I cannot see anyway) to select the one you want. IMHO, it is better if your fingers never leave the keyboard to move the mouse around. WFM

Roombas- would scoot themselves right out my front door if they saw the mess on my floors. (still not supposed to sweep or vacuum, and it piles up pretty fast. Mom gave up on helping a few weeks ago.)
Alice- I didn't check the temperature, but had to grab a hoodie this morning. Windows and doors wide open and no ac! WoooHooo! Hope it lasts.
