With nichrome you will typically add one gauge: here's a link from a coil expert.

Both are perfectly acceptable, but some people have allergies to nichrome in the same way that some cannot use PG.

Thanks alot man! Sterno linked me to a nice place where I got 100ft of 28gauge kantal for $7... should last me a while considering I only have 3 RBA's. Ive alost been very interested in trying a %100 VG liquid... But right now im just waiting for my Halo Tribeca... Im kinda switching back to the tobacco/vanilla/caramel flavours. Seeing as how they go good with anything im drinking.. Coffee.. Beer.. Its good all the time rather than juice flavors for beer and vanillas for coffee...
Also if I'm using like 1.2ohm coils with silica is it okay to be changing that coil and wick once a week? Or should it be more often? Im not a super heavy vaper.. But i can easily go through 5-6mls in 1 day no problem in my REOs

i change my coils weekly - it IS possible to dry burn them and wash them (i use silica) and fart about dry burning them, but it's equally fast to make new ones.
It is a Sunday morning ritual that means i can dodge old people in Lincolns going to church. Too bad for all you cotton micro-coil users, but i get bored before i wreck coils.
I get my wire from Temco, but 100 ft will likely outlast us all.

Try just dry burning the coil-wick combo when the flavor lessens and the silica and coil look gunky and/or real dark first. Youi can probably get away with just that for at least a week.

Yeah whenever I switch liquids in the REO... Like put a new bottle of a different flavour in it. I dry burn the coil to get rid of the excess liquid from before so I start fresh. But i figured every weekend would be a good time to redo all the coils...
there did surgery on my 3 mecanical mods and removed the locking pin was more of a PIA then good with the button top it was always turning and self locking grrrrrrrr
I can guarantee they are better than mine

LOL! That's what I usually do too, whether they need it or not! I'm still like a kid in a candy store when it comes to knowing I can make my very own coils!
