I've learned that some juices do not like less than 1 ohm. Others love the heat. So choose the juice to match your coil. I have also realized that some juices I don't like at all now that I can actually taste them. Lol.

Dripping/bottom feeding to me being the best judge of what a juice actually tastes like. My pro tanks and cartos always limit the flavor.

Perhaps you didn't know that's what your juice actually tasted like...

For example. I love hhv heavenly tobacco in my carto tank. I hate it in my reo.

+1

i had a similar experience thinking my new shiny RM2 didn't taste as good on my ADV at the time in an Iclear30. i managed to make a coil of the same ohms, and fiddled with the coil height and position and ended up tossing that clearo in the dirt.

When I was a kid one of my heroes was Cookie Gilchrist. He played fullback for the Buffalo Bills in the early to mid 1960s. He was a bruising runner with speed and attitude and went 250 lbs. He has a very interesting history and was always at odds with the powers that controlled football.

About 10 years ago I was thinking about Cookie and I did a web search. I found a magazine articles about him and on the bottom of the article was an email address for Cookie. I mailed Cookie and asked how he was doing, how he was a hero when I was young etc. That was that and forgotten about.

One day I'm at my office and the phone rings. "Hello" says I, and identify myself. "This is Cookie Gilchrist." So I say, "Yeah right, who is this." Same response so I hang up. The phone rings 5 minutes later and the caller says, "This is Cookie Gilchrist." So I say how is Golden Wheels doing?" He says he has heard from Dubenion in years. Dubenion played at the same time now I knew it was actually him. We had a great talk. Spent probably a good half hour chatting. Real nice guy that was nearing the end of his life. How many people get to chat with their heros from youth? He died in 07. Hall of fame fullback for the old AFL. He was a social activist as well for black athletes and other causes. RIP Cookie.

That was a great read Laurin. Awesome photo gallery also. Excellent story of yours. You're lucky to have connected with him. Thanks for taking me on a short trip.

Thanks Ed. He was much more than just a football player. By the way my brother still hasn't bought that Street Glide Special yet!

Got my first Reo convert. One of my army buddies apparently ordered a grand and a RM2 yesterday. Going to have to give him the crash-course on coil building now. He's been stealing my old cartos up until now. Now I just have to get him hooked on ECF.

Who will you palm those old coils off on now?

Just wanted to say once again RTD has shown great customer service. They replied to my email within an hour and said ship the batteries back to get a refund. Just for the folks that don't know, they always answer fast, give quality service and ship super fast, kinda like another guy we all know and love around here.

My celebrity moments- baked a Valentine's Day cake for Dallas Cowboys Troy Aikman...my staff and Mom were way more excited about it than I was. I met him and talked over the design of the cake, I wouldn't have known who he was if everybody else wasn't giggling and pointing at the man.

Did a PBS tv show with chef Johnny Carino...founder of Carino's Italian Restaurant. I was in the rear with the gear (just how I like it) By the third season he listed me as sous chef in the credits and tried to pull me in to announce what he was making. I got tongue tied and twisted, was supposed to say something like "Hot and Spicy Thai Shrimp and could only manage "Hot & Spicy, uh...uhm, hot & spicy sheeeet."

You're funny T, I had a similar experience with a $1.40 single coil mini cartomizer from Reosmods, it was like...deformed. But no way in hell I would bug Robert over something that costs less than 2 hashbrowns at McDonalds. You know why? Because I think the ol' man would have honored the return and I guess I just don't wanna do that, doesn't feel right -- not for a buck forty, nope, not gonna happen!

It never made it past editing!
After 3 or 4 attempts, I was fifty shades of red, sweaty and panicky. Not my cup of tea!

Sorry to hear of your experience with RTD, Trunker. :(

Disagree with RTD - never a reply to my DOA but i'm not going to give a crap over a $6 18350 battery. Never used them since. Now i have batteries like M&Ms!
Orange tomorrow! :D

T

I still order from them. It is my fault I didn't check my batteries for DOA's, and it is a bit late now to complain since I ordered them before I had my VVG's. I ordered another 2 sets, and they are just fine. They were shipped quickly and at a slightly lower price for the batteries as well as the shipping.

I know they don't send out bad stuff knowingly. That said, if they didn't reply to an email with a DOA, I would be upset too! I wondered why people talked so well of them, and gave them another chance. So far, so good.
