Hi Scott, Striker and Bill. Just past afternoon over here.
Hey back at you. Probably sleeping now huh.
when chickens are young you can use food or treats to gather them, they catch on fast.
I can go out and yell Chick chick and have a fowl stampede heading at me because they know I have food or treats.
If I need to put them up I'll call them then drop food as I go in the pen, they me follow right in.
In the evening they will go back to the pen to roost before dark, I just go out and shut the door right at dark.
I live out in the sticks and have to have a predator proof pen, coyotes, fox, raccoon, possum stray dogs and even hawks have got them before.
These pictures are the new pen as it was being built, the wire on the ground around whole building was later covered so nothing can dig under the pen. Don't have pictures of the finished pen but one end " 8x10 " area was insulated with windows and 6 nest boxes accessible from the outside.
Backyard chickens website is a good place to learn about raising and keeping chickens :)

Nice coop. I also have chickens and am a member of Backyard C. Not very active but I posted a few times. This has been a bad year for our chickens. We bought over 60 so far and have yet to get a single egg. Coons found the coop and I must say, they are very smart. They opened the door to the coop somehow. So I trapped them and moved them out of the area. Now all we have are 11 young ones.

For some reason I am thinking you got a PV out of that? The gripper maybe? Congrats on winning again!

Ya it paid for almost half of it. Helped a lot then too. It was a VV Gripper. Loved that thing till the battery door started coming open. I always think about getting another one anyways. Out of everything I have tried I still think it had the best electronics.

Here's a strange set of circumstances:
Had I not won that contest and PIF'd you, you wouldn't have told me about the VV Gripper. Had you not told me about the Gripper, I would not have bought something so "strange". Had I not bought something so strange, I would never have ever considered anything other than a tube mod. SO, in a convoluted way, me getting the REO was the real win from that contest!

Any other hockey fans here? After the sprint last year, am I the only one who thinks the regular season would be better if we lopped 2-4 weeks off the schedule, and maybe cut down to 68 or so games? The two-to three day breaks between games + the larger number of games seems to water down the intensity and quality of many games, the other night's Blues/Hawks tilt notwithstanding.

As for the hawks, I'm glad to see a functional PP early, but we'll see if it continues. Still can't figure out why playing the iceberg (Handzus) between Hoss and Sharpie makes sense over putting one of the kids in there. Its not like Q puts that line out in defensive situations anyway. Speaking of defensive situations, why can't Q put Sharpie out there on the PK when possible to handle draws at the righthand dot? He's a righty who can take draws, amiright?

Please, someone pick up the hockey talk with me. West-Central IL is many things, but a hockey hotbed it isn't.

Not mine, just thought it looked cool.

Saleem, I don't follow hockey no more gambling back in the day ruined most Pro sports for me. Did you ever play it before, Ice Hockey?

That's awesome lol. That device did wonders for me. Ever since then I have had a box mod. Even now I have the Groove and Reo. The only tube mod I have is a Buzz Pro. That and 4 Egos. I got into egos late. They serve a purpose after all. Back when I started I went from a mini to a Provari. Talk about an upgrade. But I missed everything in between.

Well I have to say I think I like my RM2 on my Reo Grand better than I do on my VV Reo. Don't know if that makes sense or not. I was adusting the voltage on the VV but I seem to like it on the Grand much better. Has anyone else experienced that? Seemed I was running my batteries low very quickly also on my VV using the RM2. Anxious to see how much longer the battery in the Grand lasts compared to the VV batteries.

Cheri I get a solid 8 hours out of my grand/rm2 combo. Although I have gone even longer but I typically change it half way through a bottle of juice which is about midday.

I can't wait to get the High Output kits that Rob's working up. Super low voltage drop and better battery efficiency...fugetaboutit. Rob thinks he's busy now wait until all of these dudes that only use the "high-end" tube mods because of the VD benefits coming calling to REOville. Great times! :D

Cheri, I know it shouldn't make sense, but I feel the same way. I still use them both, but it just seems my Grand is in my hands all the time, whereas the VV is sitting close by. Both are juiced, coiled and have good batteries so I just can't tell you why I prefer the Grand, but it seems I do?

Finally home from work. Hope all is well in Reoville. :)

I've had a rough week. The only thing I'm looking forward to is seeing my NorCal friends who are coming down tonight. :(

Mooshi, you must have odd hours, it is barely after noon. Do you work an early morning shift?

Glad to hear the rough week is over and you get to visit with friends!

:) Yep. I work the morning shift and am home by 1300 to do as I please. Except on Mondays/Thursdays - I'm stuck at school after my shift. :p

It's raining so I'm wet, how you doing Lee? What's on the agenda this weekend

RHP

The boy has a soccer game Saturday night, I need to winterize our camper and Sea Doo's, mow, and try to get started on building a room in the basement for the boy so that the little girl can move into his room which is bigger than hers now. She's growing so fast that she's about out of a toddler bed already, she'll be turning 4 on the 24th.

Oh and I need to find time to have a few Jack & Cokes! :)

So not really much going on this weekend...
