Thanks Lisa. I was hoping it was ok see the guy got kinda wet in the eyes. The way I see it he's just soft but what do I know he's the same age as I am but I come from a different world I guess

How was the day ? Do you guys have long weekend too ? It's our thanksgiving this weekend I think I heard mention of someone down there saying a 3 day weekend but maybe it was just them.

I am curious, do you guys do the same turkey, etc. that we do for Thanksgiving? I don't care for turkey so like to do a ham instead, but usually get out voted.

Columbus Day is the holiday on Monday, but not much celebrated here any longer.

Yep we do. I'm not a fan of turkey but will eat free range un medicated turkeys.

We still prefer prime rib and salmon or crab for thanksgiving dinner. :)

Now you are talking!

I dislike turkey. I cook a great one just because if I have to I may as well try to make it moist and with the best flavor possible from that nasty bird. I brine mine and then roast it, everyone loves it. I think it is a nightmare that keeps on giving for days. I don't mind the soup I make from the bones too much, but the only thing I hate worse than roasted turkey is leftover roasted turkey.

A roast or a ham is much better! Hopefully this year no one will bother me to make the turkey and I can skate with beef or pork. Or someone else cooking for a change would work also... maybe I will make a normal dry nasty bird and they won't want me to do it again

I like that crab idea too, but one of my brother's won't eat anything from the sea. He claims an allergy, but I made beef jerky once and used Worcestershire in it and forgot when he ate it. He loved it. He didn't swell up and die, so we know he isn't allergic to fish like he claims. So now I will cook with it and just not bother to tell him so I don't have to hear it. If he doesn't like something, he will just say he is allergic to get out of eating it. If I get lucky, maybe he will get an invitation to go somewhere else for a change, but I doubt it. Why can't I have normal family

I don't care for turkey after one year when i roasted one, to see if i could and (since there are no small ones) ended up eating it for 4 days :/

So i sold HRH on cinnamon honey glazed spiral cut ham and that is what we have had ever since. Much better.

My lot at work are gearing up for Hallowe'en and have decided that practical jokes will be allowed this year - hehehe - they have no idea! I have keys to the entire building and computer admin rights, so i can make it a torrid day for a few of them :)

Off to the kolache shop before HRH wakes up.

Good morning, lt. I got an 18490 in the intensive care unit, known as an Xtar VP1 at .25 amps on the second hour and it has brought it up from 1.7v to 3.52 so far. Have a good Saturday brother

Good luck saving an 18350 Pat. An 18350 in the charger is worth two in the bush. I might bet my dumb smart phone in the mail today. NOt as exciting as getting a Reo but its the little things....

My brother and I went to see the new Indian motorcycles yesterday. They are doing a national roll out campaign. THey are driving a semi-truck around the USA to various dealers. They let people ride them, caress them etc. I like this cool blue one with real tan leather saddle bags. They are very retro looking bikes using the looks of the old Indians but with modern tech.

That's a sweet bike, Laurin. Did you take it for a spin?

No I did not. Thats my bro by the blue bike. He's the one considering and he did go for a ride. He says its a torque monster. He liked it a lot. Its just $20,999....lol. My hearts more with this dream bike. Sport/touring:
