Good (insert time of day) reoNERDS!

I took HRHcat to the vet, come back and everyone is talking foreign languages in here

Sounds like you are going to get up and running soon Kay!

That
s funny...it totally shut down after I got rid of Norton!Couldn't get back online! Actually, I couldn't even log in, it kept telling me my password was wrong...and so was my mother's maiden name as a hint!!!

I think this thing is filled up with the previous users stuff:blink:

There are step-by-step instructions on the web to successfully uninstall Norton AV. Simply selecting Uninstall won't get it done. I actually have some remorse for anyone who runs Norton or McAffe. Easiest way it to save your important documents and pictures off on an external hard drive and re-format and reinstall your OS. There are many free AV's out there, and I prefer Avast. One thing I always suggest (especially to family members) is to ensure they create the rules in their email program to recognize and delete spam. And to never open anything from someone you don't know. No matter how curious or cute it is.

i never click on anything in emails from people that i do know either, until i've thoroughly analyzed it beforehand.

none of my family or friends are anywhere near as geeky as me, so most of the exploits i receive are from them...

Now I have, installed and run for infections, Malwarebytes and AVG....no issues found...but it's still slower than molasses in Jan.:D

Next I'm going to go install Adobe flash Player ( tho I thought I already had it) and Java...

do you only have one browser? before installing all that other stuff, you might try downloading Firefox or Chrome, and see if that helps.

even if it doesn't help, that will be useful info for Her Royal Feistiness
