(((harley))) Nice to see you. So you are impersonating the horseless headsman now? :p

Hi Sashie. Yea, its that damn advert. Everytime I see Ignatowski lose his balance and go crashing into that car, I break out in tears of laughter. Long time CL fan.

We missed you here. I hope you and you're loved ones are safe and well!

You can call me anything Ed just don't call me Redhat Pat. Ed did you see the pics I took at the Indian MC session when they stopped at Clifton Park?

I did see those. Awesome photos. I nearly bought a Chief before I bought my Ultraclassic. I was a bit worried about the lack of R&D at Indian. Loved the test drive though.

I am safe and well. Just been real busy at the site I moderate at. The owner has been making a bunch of changes so I've been trying to stay on top of them all. Plus I think many of our members are PMSing (most of them are not even female) so they have been keeping me busy being mean as well.

Hello Redhatpat. How goes you?

Feeling very spent, Lt. Long week in RL-land. Finally caught up in the lounge tonight atleast. We won't get test results until next week but I think she did ok. I dunno why I care so much if she passes a remedial math course, other than the fact I have to pay for it if she doesn't. The real reason is because if she fails it's a reflection on how much I suck as a teacher/tutor. I think it was Albert Einstein that said, you should be able to explain the laws of physics to a barmaid, or something to that effect.

My heart goes out to Dennis tonight since I just learned he had prostate cancer. Now I'm starting to wonder if I should get checked out because I've never had an exam and I'm middle-aged so it's weighing on my mind. I suppose two reasons I've put it off were because frankly, I'm just not prepared for more bad news right now (being oblivious to reality has its place sometimes) and for some dude poking 'n proding where the sun don't shine. Makes ya wanna say, "Hold up Doc, aren't ya gonna buy me dinner first?"

Great to see you back in action sashwa!

Darrel, have you lived in Canada your whole life because I've always thought of you from just up north in the Bronx or Brooklyn for some reason. I hope one day Simba and the fam, will make their way here to Amish country or nearby. That's whats good and bad about this REO family, such an eclectic bunk of folks (and dysfunctional but in a good way) but spread out so geography can be an obsticle for some of us.

For example, I love davelog like a brother but I dunno if I could rationalize driving or flying all the way out to Arizona for example. The first Reovillian I'd be honored to share a beer or coffee with and vape some nicely steeped favorites of mine would be Bob57 'n his fam. Probably Bill (ancientpuffer) & Roger next on the list. I just need to add more points to my mancard before being allowed out of this state. :p

It would be nice to see Tripp drop in more like how the lounge used to be at night with Scotty, Pietro, Darrel, etc were hustlin' and bustlin' but what's past is past and the future holds in-store for us but one mere word,

Lizardnipples.

relax its E-porn its safe :D

i know you are kidding, but...

one project at my last job involved scanning porn sites for various things including pedophiles, predators, and, yes, creepy stalkers

i was at the exec level and typically didn't write a lot of software day-to-day at that point in time, but since my staff was largely female programmers, half of which had just returned from maternity leave, or were about to go onto one, i ended up taking the project on myself.

so, for about 3 months i spent 16 hours a day on porn sites. each and every one tried to install several viruses, keyloggers, rootkits and other nasty stuff. i may have spent more time recovering from that crap than actually writing code.

it led to several arrests of pedophiles, so was worth it in the end.

i've never been fond of porn. i prefer to do my stalking in person
:)

It's foreign language to me, too! One computer class in Junior High and one in college. I treat them like cars...run 'em till they won't run no more. I keep an antivirus on them and let them do their own programmed maintenance, clear cookies and caches before a big sale night and that's about all I know.

I do know that the laptop that Feisty gifted me over a year ago has never missed a beat. The best computer I've had, hands down.
 Thanks Alice....I know you spent some hours getting it ready for me.

You are very welcome deary. That's the one DH carried out of town and then he decided he wanted to lighten his load. Hated it sitting around gathering dust. It was a Newegg or Tiger refurb. Love the color of it, cherry red. So glad it's serving you well. I have a manly salmon Sony NB I traded Sissy for for my really neat-o Netbook with huge HD and as much memory as it could take. She needed to lighten her load, too. Video went out on Sony weeks after our trade. Ordered a new, refurb from one of the above and later ordered a new motherboard for manly salmon. It's promised to another friend but I haven't felt I have the time to devote to tearing it down and putting new motherboard in. Notebooks have virtually everything onboard so if something major goes out it's toast unless you replace all/most guts. HD still good and memory so it'll be a drop in but still time consuming as I'm not as used to doing it much any more. Person waiting for it I haven't forgotten you. And my refurb Acer NB has served me well. It's never missed a beat either.

In ten years I've only purchased one new desktop (actually most refurbs are new, returned usually for silly reasons) and only because I had a couple hundred dollar credit at a store I needed to use. That's the only one that has been a total FU and I spent way too many hours working on it to get it to not crash running 64bit Win7, all versions. I even sent it back to manufacturer describing the issue and all they did was wipe HD and reinstall OS. Just gave up on it. Too much time=money spent and years of experience hardware/software, unlimited troubleshooting info on internet, and no hints on why it was happening. Yup, did any and all possible software diagnostics and tweaks, several sets of memory I had on hand, but didn't want to purchase a new CPU for it. Just wasn't worth the time. I may play with it again but don't know when that will be. Have another refurb I picked up a couple of years ago, and just located in garage but as my Notebook has served me so well I'll probably set it up for DH as it's a slight upgrade to his desktop that is also our main multimedia computer hooked to big TV.

Love your pumpkin work, btw!!!!!

Howdy all.

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Pat, I felt the same way about a prostate exam until one of my best friends lost his dad to prostate cancer which has a high cure rate if caught early. It isn't a big deal. The doc talked me into getting a colonoscopy done, also not a big deal. Just do it and be done with it!

Pats 22 years old  he's worrying long before his time.
