I was just about to post that is likely what Kay was doing I do it all the time on iPhone  good evening everyone oily clothes so far went fine with DW will see after the wash happens :D

howdy, Darrel

DW may still be getting over a touch of shock over seeing the oil-splattered little guy. that'll wear off before the laundry's done, so you still may be in for a world of hurt. you might wanna consider further preventative counter-measures...

that's my old guy take talkin'

lying by omission! lol

"Hey G and i went out messing in the garage - he has the makings of a fine mechanic - sorry about a bit of oil on the clothes, but it comes with the learning - don't bother to wash them - we can get new clothes cheaper than a new washing machine"

if i hear you are fixing a washing machine next weekend you'll be cursing me and so will DW and making drives will seem like tarmac heaven!

14/16"? Now there's a fraction you don't hear too often, 7/8" my friend. :)

1/64", that's not precision in my world, that's only 15 thou. 5 one hundred thousandths, now that's more like it! :p
Yeah just the way my brain works, I convert everything to the scale I'm using. The need for precision below a 64th is not worth it when dealing with wood and I typically don't bother going below a 32nd. But I can appreciate that the fine work you do with metal requires it.

Here's my favorite ruler

It's official...I'm now boycotting Walking Dead....

Rick is NOT playing well with others....

G'night everyone....

I figured it would be a Ricktatorship again, too many people doing whatever they want. But since I haven't seen it, could you please not post about it until after it runs here? I would surely appreciate it :)

I was just popping in to say hello before WD came on.

NUTZ - I am SO SORRY to hear about Zippo. I will add him to my prayers.

Now, off to watch WD.

I hope everyone had a good weekend!

just us buddy :D

i finally realized why i can't tell whether i'm coming or going--- dang clocks changed.

but it gets worse... i bought my alarm clock - one of those "smart" ones that adjust the time based on the date. of course, with my usual impeccable timing, i bought it right before our gummint, in their infinite wisdom, changed the dates on when to implement DST.

unless i'm at a computer with internet, i have no freakin idea what time it is. between all the clocks in my apartment and car, i think there's a 4 hour range.

 I've done that too! Actually, in my last car, I just gave up changing the time...could never find the right button.

I'm just messing wit ya. No way I can hold even close to a tolerance of 5 one hundred thou or even measure or cut it accurately. Picture this, although the human hair varies in diameter, generally lets just say it's about 3 thousandths of an inch (.003"). 5 one hundred thousandths (.00005) would be 1/60th of a human hair!

My micrometer can read down to 5 one hundred thou but measuring anything under 1 thou accurately needs to be done in a climate controlled environment with certified calibrated equipment. Shooting for a couple thou tolerance is good enough for me.

I really like that Incra rule. I have the cheap smaller version of it. Now you got me started, these are rulers I use the most when it's not maching related. :)
