Good afternoon/evening Reoville! It's a balmy -3 here. The wind has died down a little do the windchill is up to -21 ;p I've only had time to lurk lately it seems. The sadists at the PT place have been doubling down on the "does this hurt?" game. It really does seem to be helping my strength and flexibility though, allowing me to do The Evil One's bidding ;)

Tomorrow starts my first experience with PT sadists.
I'm actually excited about it...but between you and Val I'm also a bit worried.

All joking aside, go easy if thats you snowblowing...

my beloved sister resides in Cal....she's not an ......, her " pedigree" is top of the line and she doesn't have nasty habits...her husband has always lived in cal. and I call him " my hero" as he treats my sis like a queen.

Of course there are always exceptions. I was directing this to the person who stated, "I would move to California except for the Californians". Most of the people I grew up with feel the same way I do and really miss the great place we grew up in. It doesn't exist anymore, too many people now all crowded together. :(

The tower is the remnants of an old windmill that currently holds up the big floodlight. I think I got all the snowblowing done in a few hours. I found an old pair of contacts to put in as the combination of glasses, snowblower & sub-zero temps left much to be desired ;)

I can't believe i had forgotten how sharp puppy teeth are! They are supposed to be 8 weeks old BUT they aren't whining for their mama. They are paper trained. Their ears are almost standing up. Their favorite place is laying in front of the heater when they are tired of running like crazy and playing/biting each other. If they both have the same type of toy they still want the other ones toy.

They are crate trained and like their crate. Good thing because they will be sleeping there until i don't need to supervise them from everything.

But the best thing is now when i am talking at least someone is here to hear :)

Oh yeah and i cannot forget how much exercize i am getting!

I met their parents and O-reo looks like his daddy while Roxie looks like her mama.

If it is your first visit, they usually con you into believing it is no big deal with an evaluation. The real work starts after that and I suggest you inquire about taking an anti-inflammatory before you go (or something stronger if you don't have to drive).

I exaggerate (a little) about my PT sadists. They started me out with a lot of stretching. This week we began with the strength training. I'm sure much of the pain was due to my sh**ty general physical condition ;) I'm sure you'll do great!

When I had that bone spur, before the last surgery, those sadists literally tied me down to a table with my knee bent and slowly raised the table. That was how they stretched me. I broke out in a cold sweat, had tears streaming down my face and narcotics didn't touch that bone on bone pain. Boy were they contrite when they saw the xray and realized what they had done to me.

Yet, I still go back

I often get asked if i miss the UK and go back, i always say this: "The England that i grew up in now exists only in the mothballs of my memories", because successive governments have fouled it up in the same casual fashion they do everywhere!

T

so, who all can say the land they grew up in still exists? not many, methinks. i think that comes with the territory...

Good Evening, one and all!

Good Evening, one and all!

Mine does, Baker and Zachary, Louisiana were I grew up just have a couple more strip malls, that's it.
LeBlanc's the burger joint is still there, (My mom and aunts went there as kids) the tobacco store were I first started buying my smokes at 13 (their for my aunt in the car;), Louisiana is still the same place it has always been, except we have a couple more national titles these days. Most transplants either assimilate or relocate. Louisianians don't take well to imported culture. We all know ours is the best and if people don't like it they can move on. Hell most outsiders can't understand what is being said anyway. Booze flows to fast for most, and too often, and the food could kill a lesser man. I love my home state, but I'm glad I'm 600mi away from my family:)
The water is what I miss most about living in this ugly red clay state of GA.

Now imagine hundreds of thousands of people moving there, tearing up the quaint place you grew up, the farms and greenways are now condos, you have been taxed out of your family farm and home, and then someone telling you "I would love to live in Louisiana except for the Louisianians." Pretty rotten thought and thing to say isn't it? You would probably say to them, "it wasn't us Louisianans who messed it up, it was all those people moving here!" and then you would understand how I feel.
