Morning folks...gonna be a good day today....Grand I adopted from a fellow Reonaut will be here today ..YEAH!! We had a beautiful day yesterday 56* and it is sucky cold today, 9* with a windchill of -7*...no white stuff tho, thank goodness

As for Alice, I worry about her but the way I see it, this is her choice. She got mad at us for not being able to spend money, and I don't see how my being prematurely retired and broke should piss her off? The selfishness she is displaying by dropping out of sight and making us worry is plain wrong in my eyes, especially when it is predicated on spending money when I am in the same boat she is! I MISS HER! If I had the money I would have helped her! I don't like it one bit, and I don't like her making me feel guilty for being in the position of not be able to help her when I already feel bad enough about being unable to go back to work. So, I surely wish she would get over it and let us know she is okay because she KNOWS how it felt when Jack disappeared and yet still chooses to put us through this. Sorry if this sounds mean, but it's how I feel. I miss her, but it is her choice to be missing. I surely hope she chooses to NOT be missing soon.
I hope everyone in the cold is staying safe and warm, those ill are getting well, those in pain are managing and everyone is doing the best they can to be happy.

I sure wish I could train the stray cat thats hanging around here to use a snow shovel, heck I would even give it a visible one!!
I wonder of Alice's DH had something terrible happen to him? And she's been ill a lot these last few months, as has her husband. And they've both been under a lot of financial pressure for a while. And that humongous house of theirs is a disaster to keep up and I imagine they're struggling to pay for both places. Plus she had to rehome some of her beloved dogs.And move to a crowded...for her... community when she's been so used to almost complete isolation.
Please, everybody, give her a break.
There's a lot of folks who just stop coming here, as is their right, they don't owe any of us an explanation.And we don't really know for sure if she's mad at us, i'm thinking she just moved on with her life into other things, as is her right. If and when I stop coming here, I won't feel that I need to explain my reasons to anyone, and neither does she.
Please, everybody, give her a break.
