Can anyone recommend an affordable rba that is perfect for starters? I don't wanna shell out a lot but cartos are getting annoying

personally speaking, pierced, I've had Chalices, hornets, Era's and a 7's....the Rm 2 is by far the best of the best in terms of durability, ease of coil making and throat hit and vapor!

Good Day Peeps!!!!

Hope everything is going well, especially for Ray and Carol :). He never mentioned nursing care in Florida but I hope he's getting some. It'll be very important during a time like this.

Hi nutz...I'm pretty sure the Dr. down there has set up a nurse for them and he's checking into a hospice nurse, also. Carol's two daughters are also there so he should be able to get some occasional much needed sleep and occasional respite...but if I know him, he won't leave her side.

I have a nice collection of RBAs and those I've let go of. My favorites up to getting started on RM2 were Greek Killer and eBaron Spiral and Italian mcARB, both ceramic cup build requiring no resistance wire along with resistance for coil section. I'm really enjoying the RM2. I can promise the easiest to build and maintain is the RM2 and you won't encounter the shorting issues accompanying the A7, A7 mini, and much more expensive Surface that A7 mini is a clone of. Although I'm using the short protection disc with my REO Mini 2.0 (graciously gifted to me by Sterno at our 1st Annual REO Reunion) I really doubt that it is really needed with the RM2 as it is so unlikely to short and collapse a spring due mainly to the ceramic insert in the base. It's a fine looking RBA, too. I like them so much I'm ordering a couple milled down by REO, Robert, to use in my Mini 1.0s, although I don't really "need" them. $43 is a bargain for the quality, ease of build, and looks of the RM2.
