Good morning REOville. Last year around this time I visited Minnesota and Wisconsin. It was in a terrible drought, the crops were withered and now beef prices are very high. I guess this year they are getting the water for this year and last! Hopefully the floods won't ruin this years crops as well!
Beautiful REO pics today!
I am getting ready to head to the cabin in Big Bear Lake on Wednesday. SCRC is having the California State Rally there next weekend, and our chapters first lady is in the hospital, which means that the 1st officer probably won't make it either. Our 2nd officer passed away this year, so the man who stepped up into his place and his wife are trying to pick up the pieces. I am going up early with another lady in the car to help set up (don't know what I can do physically, but at least I will have a car instead of the bike so can pick up groceries etc.). Our chapter isn't the hosts (the state president's chapter is) but we are the largest so we host and help out a lot. The 1st lady does a hot dog and hamburger dinner to raise money for St. Judes, and she is going to be sorely missed, but we think we can get it together. We also do a raffle and all the items have to be picked up, set up and tagged. This is a huge fund raiser for St. Jude's so very important to us. Anyway, I will be offline for a while since I have no wifi at the cabin. Just thought I would give everyone fair warning!
Everyone have a great weekend, stay dry and safe!
