Have you ever tried the inversion tables like the teeter hangups, for the spinal stenosis? I have heard that they can make quite a difference depending on which part of the spine is affected. Same for spinal osteoarthritus.

TEETER hangups? OUCH! While I may agree that teets may look better inverted.....That sounds wrong!

I have been getting treatments on the inversion tables. They put restraints around my ankles and then tilt part of the table. He is doing more of a stretch with it now. The tilt and stretch was causing me too much pain in my low back. Must be very careful with those. I was worse, lots worse when it was done and my low back was strained.

I haven't. I'm not sure if that would help me at all.

It's my understanding that the pathway the nerves follow through the spine are getting thinner which causes the Sciatica nerve to get inflamed, that in turn affects my leg and causes the pain. My MRIs also show that I also have a lot of arthritis in that area also.

I know when I was sent to the spinal clinic, the tech there was surprised how limber I was considering what my MRI showed. I told him I wasn't concerned how limber or not limber I was and that the pain was the problem and it had been worse before I started seeing a chiro 6 months before. He ended up referring me to the spinal doctor rather than start with physical therapy as I was already doing the exercises they would have me do.

I seriously considered this last year when I hurt my back as opposed to having any surgery. Since you live in Cali (no treatment center here) it might be an option for you. You'll need MRI and phone interview with their doc (wasn't cheap, forgot what the charge was ). Luckily my pain subsided so I never pursued this. INR® Patented anti-TNF (etanercept) treatment for back pain and sciatica

I know you already know this, but this little corner of ECF is such a haven for me. It is so joy-filled and positive. Yes, we all have our ups and downs, but the camaraderie and genuine friendships really shine throughout every post.
Thank you.

Nutz, it looks like they are down in Southern CA and I'm in the San Francisco Bay area.

yeah, I believe at UCLA. they did have some other offices though...nut sure if in SF. But hey, I was willing to travel from Hawaii with severe back pain , rather than go under the knife. I know lots of peeps who had to keep having surgery in later years. Btw, most insurance if nut all will not cover this :(

Seeing that I have Kaiser, I'm not sure if it would be covered as it's not a Kaiser facility. At this time after 4 years after that shot, I am relativity pain free most of the time not pain 24/7 like I was for almost a year. I'm just not as steady on my feet like I use to be - sandals are still not good when I'm doing a lot of walking so I use walking/running shoes when I know I am going to be walking a lot.

Rob Thanks for the info on Tractor Supply. I will keep that in mind. But I think I am set now for awhile other than ordering nic and some flavorings. Well found out some great news today. A Vapor shop opened in Traverse City which is about an hour from me. Had to make the drive today to check it out while the kiddo's were in school.
Very nice young man running the shop. Had some good long conversation with him. Said his business is BOOMING which does not surprise me. Bought some of his juice and he was kinda enough to sell me a lg bottle of VG. Also bought 10 ego kits with clearo's for my Senior friends. He gave me a great deal since I bought in bulk. Know I will be a repeat customer!

I freaking missed it! I knew a few days ago that I was very close. I tried to remember (that old age thing is not helping) to watch for it.

I have a new title. And there is nothing I can do about it.

Me, a Double Guru.

I changed mine back - there's been enough changing of names and titles here already. Didn't fancy having to become Ultratrunker pfft!

Sweetie Alice just "liked" a post from 2010. Hey girl whatcha ya doing digging deep in the archives? :)

Evening all. Snake graze doing great. Was reading and already knew it that Copperheads are known to preserve venom, and although they readily strike, usually standing their ground, unlike most others that warn and then try to escape, they preserve venom for prey (or my dogs). Not unusual for one to come across the deck and even under my chair when I sitting on deck. I even have time to go in and get camera they are so bold they just take their time.

I was looking at beginning of the REO timeline and came across early discussions about REOs and Clydes review, etc.

Still catching up.... I sent a text to Jack noonish today but haven't heard anything back. This is his dance night so I'll send another text. I asked him to get back to me, or Pietro, or other REOnaut to let us know what's going on. I'll send another text shortly if he hasn't checked in on lounge on down. Worried.

Hope all well or improving.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

I texted Jack this morning and no response then I called him just now and got his voice mail now I'm officially worried this is definitely not like him:(
