You know, this has happened to me a few times over the last month. I'll run into someone I know casually but haven't seen in quite a while and they don't pay much nevermind to me anyway. Again, very casual Hi/Bye kind of deals. They'll ask me for a light or a stinkie and I explain to them I don't smoke anymore and have neither one. I'll usually say something along the lines that vaping is better for me, as well. (No more smoker's cough, I can breathe easier, etc...) They then tell me about how bad vaping is for you. Of course with nothing to back it up. Mind you, these people smoke.
They're not educated people, I doubt they read the news, probably watch a lot of TV. But somehow they've come up with this impression that vaping is worse for you than smoking. I read the news, don't watch TV at all unless I go to someone's house and they have a sports event on. Where are these people getting this information? They wouldn't even consider trying it because vaping is so bad for you....
Interesting and frustrating all at the same time. Anyone else run into this? I could maybe understand if I lived in tobacco country but I live in the northeast and tobacco isn't a big crop up here like you'd find down south.... Hmmmmm......
