DH has today off and somehow thinks he is watching soccer instead of the WD marathon on the big TV. I casually slipped into the conversation last night when asked what we were doing today that he will be in the den watching soccer and I would be in the living room watching WD. I think he got the message

My flag is out waving proudly to all passers-by. So much to be thankful for in this country. We are not perfect but we have come a long way 238 years.

Happy 4th of July!
I slept in, as planned...for a couple hours anyway. Still sore and tired, but I'm getting there.

I've been out of the house for 3 whole days!!! Today we're going to our friends house for some bbq food and relaxation. Wayne made some wicked potato salad last night. And bonus! It's a Reo house too!

House update: Well, the windows are in....a step in the right direction. HVAC is nearly done. Plumbing is nearly done. Someone forgot to order the skylights so we're going to have to wait another week for them. I know the siders and electricians are going to be stepping on each others toes on this one.

We ordered our appliances on Tuesday and i'm still in shock. Word of advice, if you're looking for appliances...go buy them now. There are some amazing sales out there. After much drama and disappointment over our previous package at another name brand store, we went to Home Depot to shop....you know, just in case. We got an amazing deal for 4800...saving us over 2500! that's the fridge, range/convection oven, micro hood, dishwasher, and a washer and dryer... AND we didn't have to compromise like we were being asked to do at the other store.

As much as I had to like your post Scott, I wish there was a "hate" button Raining here so no chance of grilling out. No, I'm not bitter.... J/K'ing around. Oh well, maybe later this weekend. Just do me a favor a savor a bite of steak for me, will ya?
