Rach, I just read your post again. I think you should call the vet tomorrow.

***Everyone except Rachael skip this part***

You say he's vomitting a lot, but has he pooped? If he did, what does it look like? If he didn't, I would worry that he is obstructed. If he didn't poop call the vet asap.

Well, I bet if you didn't heed my warning and read that, you're happy I'm back now, aren't cha...LOL
Yes, he is doing both things like normal when pottying. That is why I am willing to try the actual food first, then the vet if it continues. IF he is blocked up, it isn't a complete blockage, if that makes sense.

Now for the good part-just gave him his old flavor of that food-and he is inhaling it! I will be shocked if he doesn't throw up just for the fact that he is eating so fast! BUT the other stuff he wasn't impressed with at all! So I am very very hopefull this will help. He is eating it so good right now :)

I will update if he seems better or if he needs to go to the vet. But things are looking better so far!

Happy birthday to you, even if you didn't get your new toy yet ;)

Btw, is there someplace on ECF to see who has a birthday that day? Does that make sense? I know another forum that has it on the first page-so any member who makes it viewable, their screen name will appear on that day.

Morning folks!! Hope everyone has a great day! I woke up to sewer lines trying to back up on me. Time to get the pipes snaked out, so I'm off to find a plumber. See ya later!!

Not a pleasant thing to wake up to, sorry! Hope your day gets better and doesn't cost you a fortune!

Rachael I don't know if you caught it when we were talking a few days ago about upset tummies & dogs, sometimes a little canned 100% Pumpkin helps. Just a couple tablespoons. To keep the leftovers I freeze it in an ice tray and save for later. Sure hope he is better today.

Great recommendation Jen! It is good to give at least a couple times a week. Really is a great addition to any prepared dog food.

I knew pumpkin was used for something but couldn't remember what! Sad, I know lol.

He ate the whole cup of food (actually it is about 1 1/2 cups) and then promptly pooped on my floor! Darn him! He burped but didn't throw up, so that is a good sign-but I am not fooling myself, he usually throws up about 1-2 hours after eating. Running around, chasing the cat, playing with his ball-but he did all this without eating too. Darn dog!

I am hoping all is better. I don't know if he just didn't like the other food, or if something was upsetting his tummy. But he wouldn't eat it! I will probably offer the other food to the pound, as much as that kills me to just throw away 30 bucks. Coworker said to mix some with his old food-well I don't want to run the risk of something causing him problems, so why bother, I will just stick with what works!

It's not too bad yet. The sink starts gurgling when I drain the bath tub. Just means I need to get it taken care of before it gets to the catastrophic state. Usually have to do this about once a year. Darned trees.
